Default R-3.4.0 RC CXXFLAGS without -O2 on x86_64-linux-gnu with g++-5.4.0 causes WARNING from stl_list.h
This is fixed in R-rc_2017-04-19_r72555.tar.gz If you are affected by this issue then please test the RC tarball. This is the last chance to detect problems (including those created by the last-minute patch) before the release of R 3.4.0. SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds
Hi, I am trying to create a BioMoby client in R using SSOAP. BioMoby is a normal SOAP web service, with request and response messages wrapped in BioMoby XML dialect. Since the particular WSDL I am having problems with is autogenerated and used similarly by *many* services, it would be quite important to a) fix SSOAP or b) fix the WSDL generator. I am a bit lost how to continue debugging

SSOAP: arguments passed as
Hi, I have a SOAP service, provided by BioMoby which I'd like to call via SSOAP. My service breaks during genSOAPClientInterface() genSOAPClientInterface(def=service, verbose = TRUE) Operation MassBank_Simple_2 Error: Cannot resolve SOAP type in empty context Problem seems to be that there are no <types> defined in the WSDL, and that the service passes input/output as a single

Using grid graphics (hexbin) in pairs() plot problem
Hi, I am trying to create a plot with pairs() using a gplot.hexbin() for each pair. For pairs I can provide a custom upperPanel function: pairs(iris[1:4], panel=mypanel) and mypanel() calls plot.hexbin(): library(hexbin) # Bioconductor mypanel <- function(x, ...){ hb <- hexbin(x) plot(hb) } The problem is that gplot.hexbin() is based on the

Intel MKL compiling issue
Dear R-developers, I would appreciate any insights over compiling R 3.4 with Intel MKL -- I have been successful until R 3.3.3 but now it stops complaining about pcre though it worked without Intel MKL as follows, ./configure LDFLAGS=-L/genetics/data/software/lib CFLAGS=-fPIC -I/genetics/data/software/include --enable-R-shlib I have used, export MKL_NUM_THREADS=15 export

help with SSOAP (can't find working examples)
First of all, let me confess that I am a newbie to R and don't know much about the language or the environment. We have a need for plugging in R in our production runtime and need the ability to pull data out of our existing services. I am trying to see if I can take advantage of SSOAP such that we can expose the data via webservices and use SSOAP to call into them. Our runtime is mostly

Multiple instances of wine on different machines with $HOME on NFS
Hi, we're running wine on a number of Linux machines which get their $HOME via a NFS server. In particular, we have a windows commandline program (a data format converter for mass spectrometers, not that it matters) things work fine as long as I am running only one instance of wine. If I have several wine instances on different boxes running in parallel, they seem to corrupt the

XMLSchema:::processSchemaTypes() fails with XMLSchema.xsd [was: SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds]

Searching for packages for normalizing Metabolomic data
Hi everybody, I am a beginner in the steps of pre-processing and data analysis of non-targeted metabolomic profiling experiments. Anyone knows if there exists some tool for normalizing this type of data (raw data or XCMS matrix data) in R repositories? Many thanks in advance. reading xcms files
Hi, I am using xcms library to read mass spectrum data. I generate objects from CDF files using the command line > SME10 <- xcmsRaw("SME_10.CDF") I have 50 CDF files with different name and I don't want to repeat the command for each one. Is there any option to read all the files and generate a corresponding object name? In advance thank you Roberto [[alternative HTML

R Gui frond has stopped working
I use R (2.15.2) on a windows 7 (64) for data mining with xcms package. This is a routine process for me and didn't encount any problems until few weeks ago when I got an error message for "R GUI frond end has stopped working". The following information was given by windows to describe the error. > \AppData\Local\Temp\WER5936.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml >

Implementing a single-precision class with raw
A package that I develop (xcms) sometimes needs to read and process vectors several hundreds of megabytes in size. (They only represent parts of a large data sets which can approach nearly 100GB.) Unfortunately, R sometimes hits the 2GB memory limit of Win32. To help cut the memory footprint in half, I'm implementing a "float" class as a subclass of "raw". Because

Build R with MKL and ICC
After a few days of reading and headache, I finally gave a try at building R from source with Intel MKL and ICC. Documentation and posts on this topic are rather incomplete, sometime fantasist et do not give much explanations about configure options. As I am not sure if mine is correct, I would appreciate some advices and hints. OS: Fedora 22 parallel_studio_xe_2016 Hardware : 8 Thread(s) per
