failure of make check-all
You may want to retry that after a make distclean, in case anything changed in the toolchain. -pd > On 6 Apr 2017, at 14:43 , Therneau, Terry M., Ph.D. <therneau at mayo.edu> wrote: > > This run was done this AM on my linux box, and older 32 bit Dell optiplex (core 2 duo). Peter, Retry how much of it? That is, where does it go in the sequence from svn up to make check? I'll update my notes so as to do it correctly. In any case, I put it first and reran the whole command chain. I had recently upgraded linux from 14.xx LTS to 16.04 LTS so it makes sense to start over. This removed the large diff in base-Ex.Rout from the first part of the log, but the

I'll update my notes so as to do it correctly. From the configure step, I'd expect. Actually, now that I look at your output again, you seem to be compiling in the source

Problems compiling R
Hola! I had my hard disk and cpu fried, so had to reinstall debian from scratch, and now I have problems compiling R R-2.14.0. My system is wheezy with Xfce4 desktop. (-amd-64) ./configure make runs without problems, but make test dose not! R-2.7.0 RC (2008-04-20 r45403) fails fullcheck
A strange thing happened. After installing the most recent RC version of 2.7 (2008-04-20 r45403) I compiled it as usual with no errors. After installing it I ran "make fullcheck". I got as far as testing recommended packages and I got the following: ... -------- Testing package foreign -------- Running examples in 'foreign-Ex.R' ... Comparing `foreign-Ex.Rout' to

I also vote for the 'helpful' addition on row numbers based on the original matrix when no row names are present, with an optional argument to prevent this behaviour. -G > -----Original Message----- > From: Duncan Murdoch [mailto:dmurdoch@pair.com] > Sent: Monday, July 12, 2004 8:06 AM > To: Patrick Burns > Cc: Martin Maechler; Warnes, Gregory R; Prof Brian Ripley; >

Creating .Rout.save files for package subdirectory "tests"

Up to now I create the "myTest.Rout.save" file with > R CMD BATCH --vanilla myTest.R myTest.Rout.save However, "R CMD check" reports two differences between myTest.Rout.save and the output of myTest.R: a) myTest.Rout.save contains following

timings for examples in R CMD check
I'm having a very hard time making R CMD check produce a clean check on examples because of the timings inserted into examples by R CMD check. I am getting a difference on every example output caused by timing information being inserted by 'R CMD check'. The current 'Writing R Extensions' manual[1] states on p. 14: If directory tests has a subdirectory Examples
