railstutorial.org has epub or mobi version?
I''m considering buying the railstutorial.org video + pdf bundle... however, I''d like to have the ebook in mobi / epub version so I can read it on my Kindle (nicely formatted). Anybody knows if mobi version is included? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. To post to this group, send email to

Help with active directory integration
I have samba installed and joined to a Windows domain as a member server. I would like windows admins to be able to manage shares. I have followed the docs on samba.org and I am on the last step which is to run net rpc rights grant 'SAMDOM\Domain Admins' SeDiskOperatorPrivilege -U'SAMDOM\administrator' but it fails with an access denied error. So my question is: 1.What user

[LLVMdev] dynamic data dependence extraction using llvm
Hi mobi, Sorry, I am new to clang AST and can not get the point you mentioned. :-( What I try to do is develop a tool that can analyze data dependence at runtime. Therefore, I need to analyze trace containing memory accessing information (eg. arrays within loops). To do that, I first instrument a recording function to get addresses of load/store instructions. However, there are

[R] Building R-3.2.0 from source.
1. R 3.2.0 is packaged for Fedora now; it's in Rawhide and Fedora 22. I'm running Fedora 22 (late beta) and haven't had any problems with R. RStudio Desktop Preview (0.99.435) from the RStudio Fedora RPM is also running fine. You might save yourself some hassles by upgrading to Fedora 22. 2. I have a bash script to build R from source that works on Fedora 22. It probably also works on

Testing that named_scope is defined
Hi guys, I''m just beginning to use RSpec and I ran into the issue of testing a named_scope. I''m not actually trying to test its behavior, as it''s not my code, but I wanted to test at least that it''s defined. I tried doing this: describe Post, ".most_recent" do it "should be defined" do Post.method_defined?(:most_recent).should be_true

[Fwd: Re: [R] a strange problem with integrate()]
When I saw the subject of the original message on R-help, I was 95% confident that I knew the answer (before I had seen the question). This made me think that perhaps for some functions there should be a 'Troubleshooting' section in the help file. The current help file for 'integrate' does say, as Sundar points out, what the requirements are. However, I think more people would

Is there a "connect acl" ?
Hi, I have been reading the acl documentation and it seems that a "connect acl" is not available. I need to limit the users that can login in an IP number, is that posible with dovecot 1.0? (i.e. only these users can login from the Internet) Or a new plugin should be written? It is complicated to do that? Thanks Oliver -- Oliver Schulze L. | http://tinymailto.com/oliver Asuncion

Revision: post on Intro to R lecture
Hi All: This follows my earlier post on webized slides on lecture presentation on introducing R. I learned that in Mozilla (Firefox) browsers, the slides did not show up. Sorry for the no show. As a reluctant windows user, I kind of carelessly clicked through Powerpoint to convert the presentation file to its html form, unwittingly leading to the mess. See if it got corrected now (I do not have
