Installing Rstudio and shiny free server on Debian
First, as I'm here and owe it: huge thanks to Dirk and others who maintain the Debian packaging.
Second: I realise these questions are not right on topic here and I will go to the rstudio community support next but I'm failing to find answers elsewhere on the web which makes me suspect they haven't come up there and might well be Debian specific so I suspect that if the expertise

Installing Rstudio and shiny free server on Debian
Thanks Dirk,
I wonder if I'm hitting problems you're not seeing not only because of running stretch/stable but also because of running the i386 version. I suspect most people are on 64 bit systems now.
Anyway, I have managed to install Rstudio OK by going up to stretch-cran35. Rstudio wouldn't install from there:
root at Toshiba-L750-Stretchi386:/etc/apt# apt-get install rstudio

Is there any binary I could download that I could put on a

Does anyone know if there is a Gnash rpm available for CentOS 4?
I have tried compiling it myself but run into dependency problems.
I looked here
http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/gnash/
but there is only 0.8.2 for el5 not el4.

Issues starting RStudio Server and release file expiration under Debian (Jessie)
Hi! I am a new user of Debian and am having an issue loading RStudio Server, which may or may not be related to a previous 'Release file expiration error' when trying to perform apt-get update prior to installing r-base into my remote Debian system.
E: Release file for http://mirror.optus.net/debian/dists/jessie-updates/InRelease is expired (invalid since 13d 17h 49min 2s). Updates for

Re: gstreamer-0.10 development files not found, gstreamer suppor
I had the same message when I tried to compile wine git for 32 bits maverick.
I installed the libgstreamer0.10-dev package, as well as the libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-dev package to take care of it.

Cannot speak to i386. I gave up on it relatively late given that I always had
lower-memory laptops. It may be time to let that one go.

HVM WinXP dom crash
Hi
Trying to get WinXP HVM to install as domU on AMD. Got latest Xen Kernel and Xen package (NOT unstable or debug).
When start, a window pops up for few seconds.. then it dies and another one comes up... and it disappears too. (Xen is trying to restart and giving up because the restart happens in 2 seconds..) It seems DomU is not able to read/understand something from Cirrus VGABIOS.

Speex with PS3 SPE support
Hi Jean-Marc, Jim,
Saad has been keeping me in the loop on your recent discussions.
Since all of our testing has been against 1.0.5, based on that being the
last non-beta version, that's the particular scope of the task that Saad
is working on right now.
I like what I'm reading about as far as encoder/decoder quality
improvements e.g. in the 1.2 betas, and am going to push for
