Strange DNAT problems with shorewall 1.4.8
I''ve had some issues with my network, and I''ve had to reconfigure my Gibraltar CD. It runs shorewall 1.4.8, and I have a 2-interface setup, so I downloaded the relevant files from the install page. Masq and such works, but I''m having a problem with my port forwarding. It works for port 22, but it doesn''t seem to work for any other port. I''ve turned

REDIRECT + shorewall drop for dynamic blacklists
Hi, I have seen this come up in a couple of threads, but nothing recent. I was wondering a couple of things and was hoping someone could clarify. I have an existing working shorewall configuration (Details at end of post). >From within this config, I have a few ports redirected for use with portsentry (like the mini-howto directs forbidden port accesses to port 49999). This works

DNAT issue
Hi, Sorry, not an experienced shorewall user, this is my first basic setup. This starts to drive me crazy. I wanted to use DNAT to forward port 33890 to an internal machine (windows) port 3389. To reach my workstation when I''m not home. In my rules : DNAT:debug net loc:192.168.0.11:3389 tcp 33890 - pub.lic.ip.add #SECTION BLACKLIST #well known port scans DROP net

iproute and shorewall
Hi, I got a problem with iproute and shorewall but I don''t know where the real problem is yet, perhaps someone can shed any light on this one. What we currently do is route all traffic coming from a specific host through our second isp''s nat router. This is done via SNAT on our own router. /etc/shorewall/masq: eth2 $INTERNALHOSTA 192.168.0.142 We now

OT: Linksys router misbehaviour
I'm running a Linksys WRT54GL router from my CentOS-7 home server. Every now and then (maybe once every 2 days) the router's WiFi cuts out, and I've found no way to solve this except to disconnect the power from the router, wait 10 seconds and then re-connect. This always works. The router is running under dd-wrt. My question is - which makes it a tiny bit CentOS-related - does anyone

Config for Asterisk with Sipgate behind Linksys Router
Has anyone successfully configured an Asterisk box which is behind a (NAT) router for Sipgate? I have mine behind a Linksys router and can successfully register and apparently call out but I get no incoming audio and can't be called from the outside. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Vonage Linksys Router - Life after Vonage
I setup a vonage account last year, and cancelled it last night when I put my asterisk box together and signed up for a Broadvoice account to use with it. Now I would like to use my Linksys router as an MTA, but realize it is still programmed with all of vonage's proprietary information and I do not know how to clear it. I understand that just pushing the reset button will not do it.

Linksys BEFW1154 v4
I''m giving up on an old model Cisco AP350 (it was installed on the internal LAN) and installing a Linksys BEFW1154 v4 "Wireless-B Broadband Router" for my home setup. The settings do not seem intuitive when integrated with Shorewall. It seems to me that someone had done a write-up for this Linksys box, but I can''t seem to find it in the documentation. Is

How can I use my regular phones with Asterisk running on my Linksys WRT54G router?
Ok, I've done some more research and I don't think I want an FXO box... What I'd like to do is use BroadVoice (with their BYOD plan) and then run Asterisk on my WRT54G router. I'd also like to use my regular home phones without having to use a special "SIP" phone... (eg. I like my Vtech normal cordless phones) What do I need to buy to get this working? It sounds like I

Any experience with Linksys WRT54GP2 as localextensions to Asterisk ?
While we have not been able to get our hands on this model yet (we have the other Linksys models) the Linksys voice products are based on the sipura technologies ATA and will work. I was under the impression that the only shipping WRT54GP2's are provisioned and locked to ATT (for now). Also keep in mind that you must be an ITSP and get authorized by cisco/Linksys to be able to buy all Linksys

Port forwarding on Shorewall box behind NAT ADSL router
Hi, Before I go any further, I''m no networking expert, and the sheer volume of documentation on the Shorewall website makes my brain hurt.. Some time ago I moved from an area with cable internet to an ADSL only area. While on cable, I''d set up an old P3 box running Gentoo as a firewall/gateway/file server, running shorewall (currently v2.2.3) and dnsmasq. I''d
