Cannot install broom package
Hello, I've problems installing several packages in my R on Fedora 27 64 bit. I found out that it has to do something with a missing compiler (libgfortran.so.3, see below). It works if I downgrade the current version of libgfortran to the specified version by downloading libgfortran-6.2.1-2.fc25.x86_64.rpm and manually installing it. However, I don't want to mess up my system,

Bind-9.11 is installed. How do you configure it? Does it need anything special in the config for samba to build the ...samba.../named.conf file that I should be able to include in my /etc/named.conf afterwards? My guess is that some directory is missing. But if I start fresh and configure samba with the internal dns it gets all the way through it's configuration with no errors. I've

KernSmooth not loading in R 2.7.2
I just upgraded to R 2.7.2 (from 2.7.1) this morning (Ubuntu amd64 platform). Shortly afterwards, I ran into a problem loading the odesolve library, it could not find libRblas.so. I was able to fix this by rebuilding odesolve. Now, KernSmooth gives me the same problem... R> library(KernSmooth) Error in dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...) : unable to load shared library

Trouble compiling igraph. . .
Been and R-user for about 5 years now in an industrial setting, and always find the mailing list most helpful. I have run into problem compiling igraph on R. I have contacted the maintainer of igraph, and he has determined that it is not an igraph problem. System is FreeBSD 7.2, R-2.10.1 [also have a sandbox machine running FreeBSD 7.3, R-2.11]. Both machines fail the installation of igraph.

(PR#14226) -- Re: libgfortran misplaced in Mac OS X R install (PR#14226)
I am the guy who compiles the OpenMx binaries. We would be delighted to place our package on CRAN, once the project is stable enough so that we are comfortable releasing it to the larger public. Let's try to track down where I made a mistake. Our Makevars.in file contains the line: PKG_LIBS=$(FLIBS) $(BLAS_LIBS) $(LAPACK_LIBS) In addition, on the build machine I noticed that a copy of
