Running version 2.5 beta as a service
Hi and thanks for the replies. Thomas, is the second option you mention an installation of the daemon necessary for running as a service? I have already installed the icecast 2.4.99 from source using http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/icecast/icecast-2.5-beta2.tar.gz <http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/icecast/icecast-2.5-beta2.tar.gz> at icecast.org and have built it using … ./configure

Packages build for Solaris ? As CSW packages ?
Well imitation is the highest form of flattery they say. So I''m surprised to see these packages neatly built to install into /opt/csw correctly and yet they exist somewhere else and have nothing to do with us here at Blastwave. fascinating. I guess we can always send an email to the person doing this and just ask if they want those packages in testing and then into the catalog for

Standard method to read current listeners without user/password
Hi Ross, Sorry if anyone else has already answered this. Yes there is. Icecast can produce stats in any format desired using XSLT templates. These take the built-in XML as input and can format the output any way you like. There are two XSLT templates included with Icecast2 by default, status.xsl and status2.xsl. Status2.xsl would be easy to parse as it outputs in CSV format. The format

Standard method to read current listeners without user/password
Hi all, This is the output of status2.xsl: MountPoint,Connections,Stream Name,Current Listeners,Description,Currently Playing,Stream URL Global,Client:60461 Source: ,,7,, /foxcub,,,7,, - Brian Eno - Dune Prophecy theme, It doesn't look like any csv output I've ever seen. Some of the output seems to be string literal and some of it is the actual server information, and at some parts

Plans for tighter integration of reference classes in R.
Hello Everyone! Here are a couple of thought/questions on refClasses integration in R core functionality. First, coexistence with S4: > X <- setRefClass("classX", fields = c("a", "b"), + representation = list(c = "character")) > x <- X$new() > x at c <- "sss" > x An object of class "classX"

R CMD install on R 2.5.0 alpha
Hi, I've just downloaded the latest R v2.5.0 alpha (2007-04-04 r41043) for WinXP. When I try to install a package R tries to install it to a no-name (empty name) directory (causing error downstream): RCMD INSTALL R.oo installing to '' FYI: Package install perfectly on R v2.4.1 patched, and did so also on earlier R v2.5.0 devel/alpha(?) versions. Current directory is: C:\tmp with

Documentation for the PHP OO wrapper
I finally had a chance to spend some time on Olly's idea about generating documentation for the object-oriented PHP wrapper http://www.oligarchy.co.uk/xapian/patches/xapian9.phps >Another way to approach it might be to postprocess Doxygen's XML output >(which would allow mechanical changes to match PHP syntax). > > I wrote an xslt script to test the idea (It is one of the

Do environments make copies?
I am using environments to avoid making copies (by keeping references). But it seems like there is a hidden copy going on somewhere - for example in the code fragment below, I am creating a reference to "y" (of size 500MB) and storing the reference in object "data". But when I save "data" and then restore it in another R session, gc() claims it is using twice the

a few questions
Ok, I think I see. The xslt files are kind of a template which tells icecast how to format the xml file that is the admin interface? Where can I get either an example xslt file or information on how this works? I didn't see details in the icecast docs. I have now skimmed the information on xml.com, but don't I need to know what xml tags icecast uses? Thanks for the help, Richard

a few questions
I don't have any there; I suppose that is the problem. I did a locate *.xslt and nothing pertaining to icecast came up. I suppose I should grab the source and check it out. I installed from the rpm. Thanks, Richard Michael Smith wrote: >On Thursday 21 October 2004 14:50, Richard Morey wrote: > > >>Ok, I think I see. The xslt files are kind of a template which tells
