I will give a little background... For more than 10 years until now im using Shoutcast 1.9.5/1.9.8 win32 on my machines. "What's working, d'ont touch". Now im changing to ice 2.4.2. The flexibility of the ice is great. but, because of the things that "hidden" from the eye im little bit afraid to make changes that will be dramatic for the listeners. So, for the

Yes. I'm running The 2.3.99.3 win32 version. And if you can to provide the " mime.types " and " crossdomain.xml " files by yourself it will be great. TNX! -----Original Message----- From: "Thomas B. It is possible to ask the development team of icecast to implement a solution for that? Something like – "if the same IP pulling the stream over X instances for X time" to kick him? I believe im not the only one that having that issue from time to time… From: marcin at saepia.net [mailto:marcin at saepia.net] Sent: Friday, July 01, 2016 2:05 PM To: Yaniv Sharon Cc:

I didn't pick up the data from the access file, just from the error file... About players, I can't control what the "radio index" sites are doing with my icecast streaming address, But as far as I know from my experience, the players when they getting "crazy" causing between 3-5 multiple connections for less than a 2 minutes. Not a big issue. The situation that

Hi all, >From time to time my server getting multiple connection from a same listener. I don't know if it's a bug of the player, or a case of abusing. The situation is "flooding" of the server, the same listener connected to ICE in multiple instances, and using "real" bandwidth (e.g 128K x 30)! how do you handle this situation on your servers?

The side effect of <audio> is also a bandwidth usage? linear to the amount of "fake" listeners? icecast dev
Hi. Good to see new spirit of icecast! I have some suggestions: 1. Compatibility to iphone/android. There is a way to make the icecast working as one point solution to iphone/android? a lot of streamers searching for that. 2. I'm running icecast 2.3.2 on my 2008 windows server. I don't know how to explain this but I will try: When you starting to listen to a icecast

Hi, Yes I aware to the NAT possibility, But let's assume that this is the issue, there is no reason that 30 listeners >From the same country will connect and disconnect at the same time range... I'm pretty sure that its individual listener/IP. I deleted the Access log files, but in the next time that I will catch similar situation again, I will complete the investigation. Nobody from

Proxy
Thank you all. Except from the buffering it was the fact that I used "localhost" instead of 127.0.0.1 in the proxy_pass. Now my configuration is: location /stream1/ { proxy_buffering off; proxy_ignore_client_abort off; proxy_intercept_errors on; proxy_next_upstream error timeout invalid_header;

Winamp Shoutcast DSP to Icecast?
Thanks for the quick response, Philipp. I'll specify the mount and see if that fixes my problem. For what it's worth, the following appears in the icecast.xml which came with my download of 2.4.2 just beneath the authentication section. Is there help I can offer in removing this section from, or correcting it in, the file for future packages? set the mountpoint for a shoutcast source

Winamp Shoutcast DSP to Icecast?
Hello. I'd like to broadcast my Winamp audio via the Shoutcast DSP to my Icecast server. According to all i've read, this can be done and should be simple, but I can't get it to work. Here are details for how my server is set up. Anyone spot anything obvious? The Icecast version is 2.4.2 on Windows 8.1 I have only the default listen socket defined. <listen-socket>
