Consider this a Ticket for Icecast 2.4 ******************************************************************************** If you look at {{{ admin/stats.xml }}} on a Icecast-KH server (default setup) and an Icecast 2.4 server (default setup) the following is one of the things that the KH branch has as extra info. {{{ <listener id="3581"> <ID>3581</ID>

Sending artist - title - album metadata
Another correspondent here has pointed out that: > Recently Stream Licensing LLC has changed their requirements so that > streaming internet stations in the US must stream the album [name] > along with the song title and artist. We are also in this particular boat. We are using Centova Cast which uses Liquidsoap as its AutoDJ and Centova say that if the album tag is stored in the file

IceCast KH - question
Simple streaming is fundamentally flawed this way. "The man with two clocks, does not know what time it is." Your source is clocked from one crystal in your source sound card, and played back on the basis of the clock crystal in the client sound card. There is nothing to say or keep these crystals locked to the same exact frequency, which is REQUIRED to maintain no clock drift. Unless

Access for scripting??? Displaying play history
They are on the Shoutcast list, so that may be what they are using. Shoutcast does provide an XML file that has past and current song data. I suppose with a bit of XSLT magic, I could use that. I'd rather use icecast. :-) On Thu, 2006-09-14 at 12:23 +1200, Ross Levis wrote: > This site is probably using commercial broadcasting/streaming software > under Windows, such as StationPlaylist

Shoutcast compatibility suggestions
Hi: Ok, I've not managed to find any documentation on the shoutcast compatibility introduced in icecast 2.2.0, so please humour me if I missunderstand how it's meant to work. This is my understanding of it currently: 1. You configure Icecast (as shown in the shoutcast example) so that shoutcast connections get mapped to the mountpoint you define. 2. You configure a listen socket

relaying IceCast from ShoutCast
I've been thinking more about this. It would be really nice if Icecast could add a port to a mountpoint and emulate whatever information Shoutcast requests when it relays a shoutcast stream. This way Shoutcast could relay Icecast streams. Fred _____ From: Fred Black [mailto:fred@batanga.com] Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 2:36 PM To: 'icecast' Subject: RE: [Icecast]
