[PATCH] libshout - updated patch for kate and skeleton
Hi, this is mostly the same as the one I posted previously, but with a modified check for the Kate stream magic to match a proposed common requirement for Ogg codecs. Thanks -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: libshout-svn-with-kate.diff Type: text/x-patch Size: 15793 bytes Desc: not available Url :

To be honest, I just added Theora because I needed a simple way to multiplex streams. Also, it'd

Ogg/Kate preliminary documentation
Hi, I've now uploaded the preliminary documentation on the xiph wiki: http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/OggKate Attached is the current source tree for the libkate library. The tarball also contains the patch to oggmerge (which you will need to apply if you want to merge Kate streams with Vorbis or Theora streams) and the patch to MPlayer to use Kate streams as subtitles. An example is

While this is possible to do it this way (and probably a good idea for the examples like a clock in a corner), it implies that all the placements and logically different "items" are known at the start of the stream (since the Ogg spec says a

support for kate bitstreams
Hi, would you be interested in a patch to support kate bitstreams ? Kate is a bitstream format for text data that can be muxed in ogg, here presumably alongside a Theora video. It can be used to carry subtitles, and several separate streams can be muxed concurrently (eg, for subtitles in several languages). More info about Kate can be found there: http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/OggKate Note

Album art - requirements
Hi, [ Was away the last few days, so this partly overlaps on things that that have been mentioned in this thread. Since the consensus seems that Vorbis comment encoding is the way to go, it's a bit moot, but here it is anyway ] Following up on the possibility to tag various images as different types of album art, I thought of adding that tagging information in a Skeleton stream. Ogg/Kate preliminary documentation
Hi, I recognize the main name behind CMML here :) Does the redesigning of CMML allow overlapping clips ? This is the main reason of my current ramblings about seeking. While karaoke was one of the initial goals behind kate, it is just a way the format can be used with (in fact, the format itself does not refer to karaoke at all, but styles and motions). At the moment, it is a fairly versatile

Kate terminal window
Dear R-users, I've recently switched to Ubuntu and I've decided to use Kate to edit my R code. I really like how Kate allows one to simply pipe their code to the terminal. However, I would find it even better if I could actually get the Kate console to display error messages (or any console outputs in fact) in red and my input in a different color. The instance of xterm that Ubuntu

What is Kate ?
Hi, I've posted a fair few questions around about technical points relating to the Kate codec, and I thought I'd take the occasion of releasing 0.1.5 to write up a little something to explain what Kate can do in more practical terms. I'd love to know if anyone has had a look at the code/format (which I'm still documenting, sorry) and would have technical feedback about it. Or any

[PATCH] liboggplay: RGB/RGBA video, and rendering Kate streams with libtiger
Hi, This is an updated patch, replacing the previous one. It allows rendering Kate streams using libtiger (itself using Pango and Cairo). It allows video to be converted to RGB, and overlaying of a Kate stream onto a video. While there, there are various fixes/tweaks (the asm versions of the YUV to RGB converters would move the data pointer, so anyone using those at a later time would access bad
