Ezstream
Greetings, I'm currently working on a program which utilizes Ezstream and Icecast2 (http://r404.sf.net). This project operates off a binary file generating the next file to be played, eztream had the funcalitiy required (mp3 -> ogg support on the fly) and seemed simple enough so I'm writing the modifications to ezstream to support getting the path off of a binary. My question, who

[Icecast-dev] metadata fallback mounts
Hi all, I posted this message before on icecast-dev, but I guess it's more appropiate here. First of all thanks again for icecast2. It keeps surprising me how easy and stable it is to use! I'm working with icecast2 from SVN now (revision 10692) and it's mount point features. I've created the top mount point '/play.ogg' so we have only one main mount point for users

dump-file per source per mount
Hi ! Maybe you could find something with this line in the <mount> section of the icecast.xml file: <dump-file>/tmp/dump-example1.ogg</dump-file> But I prefer to use streamripper which can do this easily on a client side: http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/ http://packages.debian.org/unstable/sound/streamripper yomguy Stefan de Konink wrote: > On Mon, 24 Oct 2005, Jaakko

[Icecast-dev] metadata fallback mounts
Have now set the log to level 4 and viewed the output when the stream stops/starts. Can't see any errors though. I'm getting: source/source_move_clients passing 1 listeners to "/fallback.mp3" on stream stop and: source/source_move_clients passing 1 listeners to "/studio" when the stream starts again, so looks like it's working. Could it be the client at

Extending Icecast 2.4.X against Ezstream (Run External Script or Integrate Ezstream Source)
Good evening, I am extending Icecast 2.4.x in a project that intends to use ezstream many times during the Icecast execution life cycle. At the point when I "start up" ezstream, I am faced with a dilemma of whether I should just integrate the ezstream source code into my project and program directly to the procedures, or whether I should just use shell scripts to control ezstream.

ffmpeg2theora and ezstream + icecast2
Hi, I have a problem reading the live stream from ezstream/icecast2 using ffmpeg2theora as the encoder/decoder. Everything was fine with icecast2 alone but when I added the ezstream to create a live stream the video/audio was trashed. I'.m using Ogg with theora/vorbis. I fixed the aspect ratio using the configuration settings but the a/v sync and the a/v packet times are far out of sync. I

Thanks for your work on this oddsock. It's a major feature that's been missing from the Win32 environment. I presume you will be offering a Win32 binary on your site at some stage. Update ezstream playlist 'on the fly'
Jappe: I've just added this functionality to ezstream. You can now send ezstream a SIGHUP and it will re-read the currently processing playlist file (it will currently do nothing if you are reading from stdin). In this case ezstream will keep track of the last track played and will reposition to that track (if it exists in the new playlist, otherwise it will just restart at the

Using stdin with ezstream
Sorry to bother you guys but I couldn't find the answer to my problem anywhere else. I've installed ezstream_win32_0.1.1_setup.exe to my Windows XP box and I am trying to use the stdin streaming functionality w/ IceCast v2.2. ezstream works well when I set the filename to a file, however, it does not work with stdin. With filename=stdin the source_client_connections stat in IceCast is

Sorry Brendan- My intent is far from spam. There have been several questions asked about the availability of AAC/aacPlus streaming on the Icecast lists, as well as other streaming and codec forums. My intent is simply an Icecast2 compliant AAC/aacPlus encoder awareness issue, although I agree with you that it is advertising. We do have quite a bit of information in our Opticodec-PC

ezstream reencode
Hi: The only thing I can think of that might cause your reencode not to work is that perhaps you have MP3 files with extensions with capital letters (i.e., not "mp3", but "MP3" or "Mp3" etc). This maybe could cause the match to fail. Geoff. -- Geoff Shang <geoff@hitsandpieces.net> Phone: +61-418-96-5590 MSN: geoff@acbradio.org Make sure your E-mail can
