CPU Utilization Weirdness
Using Icecast 1.3.11 and Ices 0.2.2. Have compiled Ices with the optimize flags defined. Using PII 266 - 160MB, RH 7.1 with default kernel (2.4.7 i think) Situation that I have is interesting: 1) Bring icecast up in the foreground and everything is well. Works as expected. Bring ices up in the foreground in another session and it too works as expected. System will run well until I take it down.

CPU Utilization Weirdness
Did some more experimenting last night. When I changed icecast and ices back to 'daemon mode' they lasted for about 5 songs, before tanking. I then tried combinations of icecast as a daemon and ices not, and vice versa - same results. Even recompiled without any mods to icecast. The only thing that seems to work is starting the processes and piping them to null. The only disadvantage to

ices not quite random
Hello, I just got iceast + ices setup. I'm streaming from a playlist and it streams/play just fine, however, it doesn't seem to be that random. It is randomly picking through the first "grou" but not the rest. e.g. the playlist.txt file has full paths to the ogg files, which are in different subdirectories according to artist. But, it will only play from the first artist. Any

Possible for Asterisk to output CLID to invoke 3rd party app?
Hi all, please forgive me relative lack of knowledge with Asterisk, but I've not played with PBX systems for a while and I'm just re-finding my feet. I've set up my first Asterisk server, I have it configured with a Digium X100P Analogue pots board, I have my Called ID working and everything is hunky dorey with the server itself. But. (and there's always a but) I want to pass

Well, I consider icecast as a testing application server. You just cant deploy it all of a sudden becuse it needs a lot of work still and the UI needs to be friendlier. Lets wait till the top programmers come up with a central solution which i am sure that they will. I myself have been using SHOUTcast and its ok. User count reached at 460 a time ago but with icecast, i dont think that it can at

Possible for Asterisk to output CLID to invo ke 3rd party app?
Specifically: exten => s,1,System(/usr/sbin/myperlscript.pl ${CALLERIDNUM}) will execute myperlscript.pl with the caller id as an argument as the first priority. hth -----Original Message----- From: C F [mailto:shmaltz@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, February 09, 2006 4:00 PM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Possible for Asterisk to

3rd party app store
I recently came across this email that I wrote in May 2008 ...... ?http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2008-May/210887.html It's such a shame that Digium manhandled the project away from the community only to then bury it and not allow it to proceed. I really wonder when I look at the Apple iphone development community as to where the 3rd party Asterisk development community

Registering on Shoutcast

Called Party Identification
Does * support Called Party Identification? Say for example, I dial extension 2000, SIP sends back John Doe from the sip.conf file where extension 2000 is defined? Would this violate the SIP RFC? - Brent

OK, am I missing something ??
Hi all, Didn't get any replies to my previous query, so I thought I'd try again. Since I last emailed out, my station has appeared on yp.icecast.org, so I really don't know what was going on there.... This time, however, I'm hot on the trail of a generally crappy output stream from icecast/streamcast/ices. It stutters; it halts on track changes; it causes the little red

Sacrilege, but...
Hi all, I'm afraid that having spent yet another entire day floundering around in the world of icecast, I've really now got to the point of asking a difficult question. I set up an icecast server back in early 1999, and it seemed to work fine for months. We had a server crash here that meant I had to go and reget the sources to rebuild, and ever since then it has been nothing but

New class: DHTML window
Hi list, i spent the last two days building a window class. Windows can be dragged, resized, minimized and closed. The windows are table-less, which makes rendering faster. Also divs with overflow:auto don''t seem to like dragging. The class is losely based on the resizable class by Michael Daines, which was posted here some weeks ago. BTW i spent three times more time on CSS tweaking

Icecast2 Beta 1 hijacks CPU
Detailied instructions.... Not a very simple task I'm afraid. I'll try anyway. For starters I've only compiled libogg (CVS snapshots), libvorbis (CVS snapshots) and icecast beta 1 (from icecast.org's Download page). I didn't bother with ices, libshout, etc. since I use Winamp icw Oddcast to provide the source for icecast. All compiled using: ./configure

kernlab:ksvm:eps-svr: bug?
Hi, A. In a nutshell: The training error, obtained as "error (ret)", from the return value of a ksvm () call for a eps-svr model is (likely) being computed wrongly. "nu-svr" and "eps-bsvr" suffer from this as well. I am attaching three files: (1) ksvm.R from the the kernlab package, un-edited, (2) ksvm_eps-svr.txt: (for easier reading) containing only eps-svr

Strange connectivity issues with bridged networking and masquerade
Hi all, I'm currently in the process of building a 2-Node libvirt/KVM Cluster and ran into some issues regarding the network connectivity of our virtual machines. Our setup seemed to work fine, we were able to browse to Google and our own company website and some others from within the VM. Then we tried microsoft.com to download some Windows iso images from MS Partner Network. The page
