I''m new to Xen (and this mailing-list) and facing some problems with
the network. I''m stuck and don''t know how to continue. And Google
isn''t very helpful either...
My setup:
- Ubuntu 7.10 for dom0 and Debian 4.0 for all domU
- 4 physical NIC (DHCP from my ISP, internal LAN, DMZ & WLAN)
- 1 Dom as firewall/router
- 1 domU with internal services

Polycom Power
I have a 501 with traditional power and a 301 with PoE. I rightfully assumed
that the traditional power from the 501 would work on the 301.
How do I get the PoE to work? Do I use the Polycom PoE cable in addition to
whatever PoE injection method I use? I have a Cisco PoE injector that works
on my Cisco AP350 and my 7960. No combination of this injector, the Polycom
cable, and the phone result in

[Bridge] bridge-utils + Linksys WET11
So, I'm setting up my first bridge, and I'm running into an interesting
issue.
I have a 4 port NIC (formerly 4 seperate /29 and /28 LANs) and an
onboard NIC (to my ISP).
I've setup the bridge using the script included at the bottom of this
email (modified from Gentoo for Aurora).
When the WET11 (the WET11 is a simple ethernet to wireless bridge) is
unplugged, the bridge works

neighbor table overflow
I''ve got a linux router pushing 600-1000 pppoe connections through it.
I''m getting a screen error "Neighbor Table Overflow" after this box has
been up for between 1 week and 1 month. When this is happening, routing
slows to a crawl if at all. Then dies. I''ve added:

Linksys BEFW1154 v4
I''m giving up on an old model Cisco AP350 (it was installed on the
internal LAN) and installing a Linksys BEFW1154 v4 "Wireless-B Broadband
Router" for my home setup. The settings do not seem intuitive when
integrated with Shorewall. It seems to me that someone had done a
write-up for this Linksys box, but I can''t seem to find it in the
documentation.

wine + games: Deux + Baldur 1 and 2
Hi all !
First, my apologies if this subject has already been discussed but the archives lack a
"search" feature, so I've browsed a bit but not a lot before 2001.
I browsed the winehq and I found some people have been able to use wine on Deux Ex, and
Baldur 1 and 2. I installed the games with windows (they worked fine) and then tried running
them with wine under linux (debian

SIP HEADER FROM: without CALLERID(name):: PART DEUX
Hi all,
Several years ago there was a thread on this list about the behavior
of Asterisk when there was an empty display-name field in the SIP FROM
header:
http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users at lists.digium.com/msg142835.html
It seems as if the thread was not answered, so allow me to scratch the
scab off one more time :)
Is it possible to configure Asterisk to not modify the

Dual-homing BGP gate problem
Hi Tom,
After two weeks of nightmares I decided ask You (and anyone reading this mail).

I try to update system on my central router from kernel 2.6.29.6 and Shorewall
4.2.6 (old) to kernel 2.6.31.6 and Shorewall 4.4.4.2 (new).
This is LiveCD image boot (Devil-Linux distribution compiled by me), so config
is this same.
I have established ten OpenVPN tunnels and two

OK, I've been banging my head on why my procmail setup for virtual users is no longer working (difficult to test, since enabling it breaks live user's mail). There are only a few virtual users who have any sort of filters in place anyway (the heavy procmail users are local, not virtual), and they are fairly simple, so I think I can recreate them with sieve.
I think I have everything I

VPN hardware?
I have a NetGear FV318 living in my DMZ, with one of its LAN-ports
living in my LOC zone. What rules are needed in shorewall to allow a
certain subnet to make connections to this device from the net zone?
Do I define it as a tunnel in shorewall/tunnels, or do I just allow some
selected traffic to the DMZ IP? I am not sure which of the docs are
right for me in this case?
