Can you explain what you mean by this? For ogg streaming, icecast2 does _not_ reconstruct data for each client. For mp3 streaming, it does - but

speex support in icecast
Hello, If someone want to look at what we did on ICECAST (we = 8 people from ENSEIRB (France)), he can just checkout from the CVS on Savannah (subversions.gnu.org:/cvsroot/interopcast, cvs co ENSEIRB) We worked on format, streambuf, source, and tried to have a more logical way of serving clients. We also created a new generic ogg plugin which toggle to the right ogg encapsulated format ( now,

ENSEIRB Group
Hi, here is a group of 8 students from ENSEIRB (FRANCE, Bordeaux) and we'll work for 6 weeks on Icecast. We'll try to do several things: - make a technical doc. - reorganize the source code. - administrate icecast via web. - make a doc for administration. - make a user doc. <p>We saw the Vorbisfile documentation on www.xiph.org and we'd like to do the same for the icecast

Upgrade Doc to DocBook 5.0?
I'd like to ask what you all would think of me upgrading the libvorbis doc from whatever version of DocBook it presently uses to DocBook 5.0. There are three good reasons: - It supports XML namespaces, so you can embed stuff like Scalable Vector Graphics and MathML right into your DocBook source. - DocBook 5.0 uses Relax NG Schemas. This is a far, far better specification language than

Docbook equivalent of Sweave
I have been looking a bit at docbook as an alternative to latex. However, Sweave is a very nice way to deal with documents mixing R code, figures, and text as well as markup. I saw a couple of references in the email archives that people have been experimenting with combinations of tools (including Sxslt). Is anyone willing to share their thoughts and practices in basically replacing the

Seeking docbook-to-man package
I'm looking for a source RPM for docbook-to-man. I'm trying to build/install pxlib: <http://pxlib.sourceforge.net/installation.php> The tarball is set up to create an RPM, but it fails to convert its SGML documentation to man pages because I'm missing docbook-to-man. I found the latter here: <http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/tools/dtm/> I'm hoping someone has

Unofficial Icecast HOWTO posted
Absolutely!! That was one thing that I was missing and would have like to have included. You can either send me the data or let us know the link. If you wouldn't mind adding to this HOWTO and I will post a link to your page so that people would know where I got the original files. Sounds good. How To Beat DocBook Into Submission
To better understand how to work with DocBook, I'd like to suggest that you check out ZooLib's DocBook documentation from its SourceForge CVS, and use my work as an example to help you with your work. I just went through the whole painful process of getting it all to work. Please learn from my example! See especially the files: zoolib/doc/README.txt zoolib/doc/cookbook/Makefile

DocBook and XML
I think I can say I've been officially horrified into a coma. During a routine rebuild after installing DocBook tools, I wandered away.. and then back and after half an hour, the build was still stalled on the same command: xsltproc. Huh? I thought, has it crashed? Strace revealed that it was making a bazillion connections all over the net. Loking at the XML, it's clear why. Because

RAID 1 Post Install
Hello all, I've got CentOS 5.2 installed on an old Pentium III server. The server is used by a club at my school, and they are rapidly running out of room on the internal IDE drives that are configured in software RAID 1. I have a Silicon Image SATA controller in the server, and I was planning on adding two more SATA hard drives to the computer. Is there a GUI like Disk Druid for
