Compiling icecast2 under OpenBSD 3.1
Hi, <p>Finally, I succeeded in compiling Icecast2 under OpenBSD. It neither worked for me on OBSD 3.0 nor my old 2.8, but the new 3.1 appears to come with more icecast-friendly (p)threads. OpenBSD 3.1 isn't officially released, yet, but installing a current snapshot and getting the sources via CVS (module OPENBSD_3_1_BASE, patient people also can already upgrade from scratch only with

ices: Metadata for im_stdinpcm
Hi, I added metadata support for the stdinpcm module of ices. The metadata have to be submitted via file (as stdin is already used for the strem). Please apply this patch to the current cvs sources. <p>Deti <p> Index: im_stdinpcm.c =================================================================== RCS file: /usr/local/cvsroot/ices/src/im_stdinpcm.c,v retrieving revision 1.8 diff

Iconv support - Samba 3.0rc2/Solaris 9 (sparc)
Hi all, I have just compiled and installed Samba 3.0rc2 on Solaris 9 8/03 using gcc 3.3. sh makepkg.sh almost crashed the Sun box, as I ran out of swap space in /tmp. I didn't realise that the binaries were going to be over 800mb. The box came back after about 5 minutes and I was able to add more swap space using mkfile and swap -a. I think a warning would be a good idea, otherwise perhaps

Compilation Issue on Old Boxes with macro in src/master/main.c
I'm throwing an error compiling with a custom-compiled gcc 3.2.3 on one box. The configuration string is CC=/usr/local/gcc3.2.3/bin/gcc CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/ssl/include LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/ssl/lib ./configure --with-ssl=openssl --with-ssldir=/usr/local/ssl/certs --with-pam --with-pop3d --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var I've used this to compile on other older boxes with success.

[PATCHES] Smartjog PatchDump
Hello, I work at SmarctJog.com, we have here some patches on IceCast for performance and reliability, these are mostly client/connection/source cleanups (a slave merge is underway, and some more good stuff (c)), but we'd like this to be merged in before the list gets any longer. Please find attached a list of our patches with a short desc: This one is actually not from us/me, it was found

Fwd: final changes to mimetypes rfc
Excellent, thanks for noticing - will add that. Also: question about the Dirac codec identifier in Ogg. It is currently char[5]: 'BBCD\0' - but in your spec it is char[4]: 'BBCD'. Which one should we put in? Cheers, Silvia. On Sat, Aug 16, 2008 at 5:31 PM, David Flynn <davidf+nntp at woaf.net> wrote: > On 2008-08-16, Ralph Giles <giles at xiph.org> wrote:

Streaming Supplier
Is there a UK streaming supplier anyone would recommend? If they use icecast that would be a bonus. At the very least they need to support x-audiocast login and hopefully vorbis.
