similar to: State of IceCast2?

I've done checkouts from CVS as outlined on the page. Checking out module 'icecast' from cvs.icecast.org and then executing ./autogen.sh causes the icecast code to indicate "Building icecast-1.3.12..." and there is no HACKING file in sight. Is the icecast2 source on another branch? Another module? I'm having the damnedest time finding the active development branch...

Actually, you don't have to check out ogg and vorbis from CVS. I have got ices running with quality -1 (and on my roommates crappy computer speakers it sounds damn near the real thing - better than FM radio anyway)... Hi all, I set up ezstream to read a playlist.m3u file containing only MP3 encoded songs (to shuffle continuously) and push this to icecast2. This works, and I can also reencode to a lower bitrate. I would like to know if there is a way to reencode these MP3s into AAC-LC 128kpbs and then push the stream to icecast2. I'm doing this on a VM with only terminal access and no audio hardware, so
