Ices2 compile error - streaming ogg!
Still trying to stream ogg and have not gotten past a make error in ices2. We www.freespeech.org are an independent media / news site so it would be nice to get this running and support this new format. I'd love to convert all of our 700 streaming video files from from realmedia as well but thats another story! Perhaps this is not the correct forum but it seems like there are a lot of

Ices2 compile error - streaming ogg!
Actually, you don't have to check out ogg and vorbis from CVS. You can just use Vorbis 1.0, if you like. ices was updated to use the Vorbis 1.0 encoding API, and that is the source of the errors the original poster was seing. --- Stan Seibert <p>On Wed, 2002-07-31 at 15:23, D. Icecast 2 questions.
Hi all, I just built icecast 2 from cvs. I tried to compile ices (also from cvs) and got: tream.c: In function `ices_instance_stream': stream.c:164: warning: passing arg 1 of `shout_strerror' makes pointer from integer without a cast stream.c:164: too few arguments to function `shout_strerror' stream.c:198: warning: passing arg 1 of `shout_strerror' makes pointer from integer

Ices2 compile error - streaming ogg!
You need to check out ogg and vorbis from cvs and install them as well. Refer to the following previous mailling list post for info on what to do: http://www.xiph.org/archives/icecast/2870.html On Wednesday 31 July 2002 05:57 pm, Richard wrote: > Still trying to stream ogg and have not gotten past a make error in > ices2. ices doesn't compile for me
Hi. I downloaded the ices source from CVS yesterday and have been trying to get something going. I got icecast running, but I want to use ices to stream from my sound card to icecast. That seems to be the most straight forward way to do things, but ices does not compile (see below). I have a fresh install of Mandrake 9.0. btw, I also found an RPM ices-0.2.3-3mdk which seemed like an easy

Some diffs to libshout for MacOSX
Brendan, Thanks for applying these patches - that's great. We're about to release the latest version of our SndKit frameworks, which require libshout to be installed in order to compile. Up until now we have provided the set of patches that we sent to you, and instructed people to download the iceS-0.2.2 package, apply the patches, and compile from there. What we'd prefer though

Updating flac include problems
Updating the fink flac to 1.0.4, it won't compile because finds the headers of the previous version in /sw/include, because the CPPFLAGS/CFLAGS are being put before the local includes: (configure with ./configure --prefix=/sw --mandir=/sw/share/man ) gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"\" -DPACKAGE_TARNAME=\"\" -DPACKAGE_VERSION=\"\" -DPACKAGE_STRING=\"\"

libxml error (or am I just being dumb?)
I've been trying to compile ices and icecast all night. I have narrowed the problem down to libxml. I have tried several rpms of libxml2 and libxml2-devel all to no avail. I don't expect support on this alpha release but just a reply to say that it's a common issue or wether I am just a dunce would be nice. :) Thanks Hans The follwing are installed by RPM: libxml2-2.4.23-1
