Building IceS 0.4
I wound up finding and using an IceS augmentation called Centova Cast, which built, made and installed without a single error on my 64-bit system. It's IceS 0.4 with a couple additions. It's running now and behaving as it should, so this might be a solution for you as well. The install script is intense. It downloads everything you need, resolves dependencies, installs them, logs

Ices generates lots of email warnings
I can't say whether this is either an Ices or a CentovaCast issue, but there are certain programs that play perfectly normally but generate just piles of email about invalid sample rates or frames containing metadata that's not supported. Is there a way to turn these emails off? One of them recently was over four thousand lines long, which really shocked me, and it takes a lot to shock me.

Building IceS 0.4
Somehow I had the impressions that IceS 0.4 Either would not compile under a 64 bit OS Or was not compatible with a 64 bit OS In General I would Love to hear I Was Wrong.... That Ices 2 Sends ogg streams I can handle But that it Won't Read mp3 makes it Non-viable for me I can't afford to replace the extensive mp3 Library ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Matzura"

I've been through this once before, and passing the proverbial camel through the eye of the proverbial needle seemed easier. $ ./configure ... configure:20721: checking for pkg-config configure:20739: found /usr/bin/pkg-config configure:20752: result: /usr/bin/pkg-config configure:20768: /usr/bin/pkg-config couldn't find libshout. Error: An unusual circumstance has arisen in the nesting of readline input
Hi, If I have warnings converted to errors, and if I plot a simple plot and then resize and move the plot's window many times, I eventually get an error "Display list redraw incomplete", and after a while an endlessly repeating error "An unusual circumstance has arisen in the nesting of readline input". I cannot stop it using Ctrl-C (Ctrl-Z works though). I'm

Problem with Ubuntu bionic R 3.5
I have this too on Ubuntu Bionic. The English error message is: W: Conflicting distribution: https://cran.rstudio.com/bin/linux/ubuntu bionic-cran35/ InRelease (expected bionic-cran35/ but got bionic) Though the error doesn't seem to prevent use of the repository. I could apt-get install R 3.5 no problem. On Wed, Jun 13, 2018 at 2:04 PM, Ulrich Leuchtmann < ulrich.leuchtmann at

Problem with Ubuntu bionic R 3.5
I ran into a problem installing R 3.5 on Ubuntu Bionic Beaver. In file /etc/apt/sources.list I added the repository entry "deb https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu bionic-cran35/". But "apt-get update" now produces an error message: W: Konflikt bei Distribution: https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu bionic-cran35/ InRelease (bionic-cran35/ erwartet, aber

EZStream and Cue Sheets
Looks like a lot of tedium. I'll give it a go on Red Hat, but not before a full backup first. Ubuntu issue with 18.04 Bionic Beaver
Dear Dirk (other users and Dave) PART 1 I finally was able to install R.3.5.1, however, I had to invoke the following sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys E084DAB9 As this skin of Ubuntu 18.04 (Peppermint) does not seem to allow access to the bionic-cran35 repository unless this key is set and added to the system. This is odd - well for me anyway, as for other skins of

EZStream and Cue Sheets
I could, but I have this big old Fedora system just waiting for me to get LS working on it, so I think I need to concentrate on making that happen. If it's hard, difficult, tedious, inconvenient, then that's what it is. I want the cue sheet capability some way somehow, so I'm just going to have to knuckle down and buckle down and do it. Right? Problem Starting IceS
I installed IceS version 2.33. libshout.so.3, which is a symlink to libshout.so.3.2.0, is located in /usr/lib64. That's where the Red Hat Package Manager put it. I have a line in /etc/ld.so.conf: /usr/lib64 to make sure the shared object library gets loaded. According to the output from 'ldconfig -p|grep libshout' it has. When I start IceS, I get: ices: error while loading shared
