At this point any message from Philipp Schafft to me becomes absolutely
unwanted.

Good afternoon,
please have a look into your MUA setup. You keep breaking threading for
this thread (In-Reply-To header is set incorrectly).

<div dir="auto">No I think you misunderstood me. The m3u file contains the URL with the port number in it, since as far as icecast knows that's is the URL. It doesn't (and can't) know that I want a different URL. It has http://foo.bar:8000/mountpoint but I want http://foo.bar/mountpoint<div><br></div><div>It's the wrong URL from my

The default ices.conf.dist file from the source distribution contains:

icecast 2.x needs "http". -->

I haven't checked the code to see if this is used for

Hi,
you are using Icecast-kh, this is quite different from the

So why does the ices.conf file have <Protocol>http</Protocol> ic it is
going to use icy anyways?

That depends on the player, if it works you are lucky. It might not work
for other formats or with some players.

HTTP authentication
Yes, it is the first thing I have tried, but I have encountered this
problem. If I enable option <option name="allow_duplicate_users"
value="1"/>, it works fine. But if set to 0, to limit one connection per
user, it does not work properly and forces you to manually enter the data
again. It seems that there are players who make 2 requests, and being
limited to 1, makes the

Client development
Hi,
I?ve been tasked with developing an Icecast broadcast client for iOS. I am not sure how to get started. Ideally, I?d like to get my hands on documentation that describes the Icecast API. Otherwise, if there is a code example in either C, C++ or Obj-C, that should be enough to get me started.
I don?t need help figuring out how to generate the audio stream, as I already know how to do that; I

Use web admin to re-start source?
Thank you. In this case, the source client is the fallback mount, which
is an mp3 file.
I think I found my issue.
The code in icecast.xml looks like this:
<mount type="normal">
<mount-name>/stream</mount-name>
<max-listeners>6</max-listeners>
<burst-size>65536</burst-size>
