How to make the playlist repeat
Good morning, I'm using the deb package provided with Debian buster. Output of 'apt search ices2' --> ices2/stable,now 1:2.0kh60a-dmo4 amd64 [installed] So I should probably remove that, and build it from source then. -Allen -- Allen Seelye A Linux user since 1997. Couldn't you also just have a client stream locally from icecast that can do things on metadata change? I mean it's a bit icky but it'd work. ---- Philipp Schafft wrote ---- >Good morning, > >On Thu, 2018-11-08 at 12:45 -0500, Alex Hackney wrote: >> I actually got this to work this morning finally. Load balancing Icecast - aggregated logs
Good afternoon Philipp Many thanks for your reply. Sorry for not being clear. I think the problem I have would be in the implementation. How do I run two versions of Icecast on two servers, with load balancing between the two (perhaps using RR-DNS), but I present my client with one unified log file for the audience statistics? Should the two servers write their logs via a network file share to

Icecast relay crash.
Hi, I am using icecast 2.3.2 and I'm not in position to upgrade the version right away since this version is already in use. Please let me know if you need any additional details for this issue. Nevertheless if there is any potential fix has gone towards this part of code in later versions, I can just use that patch in my current code base. Also I'll try to catch up on Freenode but

Good evening to you too, From the <ip-address>:8000/server_version.xsl , I get that the installed icecast2 version is 2.4.4. The source client I am currently is Mixxx version 2.2.4 - for Windows 64bit. Would you say I should redirect my question to the support team of the Mixxx program ? If you would like any more info, please feel free to ask. I appreciate your help and patience. All the

OPUS/FLAC Metadata
Marvin, That is the current version being used and it still has no meta data. server_id Icecast 2.4.99.1 Testing the metadata from the admin page “Update Metadata” results in the response: Message: Mountpoint will not accept URL updates Return Code: 1 So I would guess it isn’t functioning yet. > On Jun 12, 2017, at 12:34 PM, Marvin Scholz <epirat07 at gmail.com>

Icecast relay crash.
Thanks Philipp. I agree with you, this looks like some buffer overrun issue. I know I'm using a very old version of icecast software but still I am asking is there any kind of workaround to this problem apart from upgrading the icecast version (which is the last option). Running Valgrind may help to capture the root cause, any thoughts? BTW what's the latest stable version of icecast?

OPUS/FLAC Metadata
Anyone know any workarounds for OPUS/FLAC metadata on IceCast? I’ve monitored my inbound stream and this is working correctly (or at least the formatting and data for the OPUS stream is identical to the MP3/AAC+ streams). I see people with OPUS streams and metadata but they may not be using IceCast. Is it safe to assume we’ll see this in the next version? Rick

Full HTTPS support
Hi! I've been giving support for streaming and streamcasting over HTTPS... Everything started while giving streaming support to my website. When I read a console error (or was it a warning?) on Chrome, when the browser accessed to an http:// resource from an https:// domain. Then I decided to fix it by the clean way. I don't need official support yet... but if you don't mind to
