I would like to have a private signal, which can only be tuned by whoever has the username and password, and know who is connected. But I wish the URL could be delivered with the username and password, to open it directly on a player or receiving device... Thanks. Yes, it is the first thing I have tried, but I have encountered this problem. If I enable option <option name="allow_duplicate_users" value="1"/>, it works fine. But if set to 0, to limit one connection per user, it does not work properly and forces you to manually enter the data again. It seems that there are players who make 2 requests, and being limited to 1, makes the

Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
For example, in my case, we use several servers with Centovacast, with several Icecast2 services. Version 2.5 of Icecast2, allows to respond to http and https connections from the same port, but takes years in beta. Centovacast does not update its panel, waiting for the final version of Icecast 2.5 to be released. Chrome has been warning for months that this would happen in February, but no one

Yes, I know, but, from what I see, the "allow_duplicate_users = 0" option is not really usable, because of these problems that it generates in many players. Therefore, I think it would be interesting for Icecast to allow the option to limit to 2 (or those defined in the configuration), so that it can be used and limited, at least. I think that new option is very necessary. El sáb., 14

Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
This is a real problem that needs to be addressed. Anyone has figured a way to mitigate this? Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
Hi. With its 80th version, Chrome stopped serving non-secure resources on https pages. This affected the icecast server I run also. I enabled SSL, the issue with Chrome not playing audio got fixed, but I noticed a major drop in the number of listeners. As far as I figured out, the listeners that have the http url in a playlist - listening in winamp, vlc etc. - could listen no more. Those using

Icecast 2.5 release
Hello! I see that version 2.5 is still in beta2, with very interesting features for me (like improved support for TLS). Does anyone know when it will be launched stably? Any estimated date? Thank you. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/attachments/20190324/2960ffc6/attachment.html>

@Mikel You could use Centova's port 80 proxy meanwhile couldn't you? Also. Centova Cast doesn't have an SSL setting for the servers unless you're manually overwriting the server config files.. or is it? Hi all, Can you explain the use case here a bit more? I think I'm missing something in my understanding. If you enable TLS/HTTPS, you should enable it on a different port (eg. 443) and keep your existing HTTP port for Icecast so that your stations will continue to work in external players (Winamp, playlists, VLC, etc.). However, you should update all embedded links to your stream on your

MP4/H.264 codec for Firefox?
Hello, I am trying to get MP4/H.264 playback in Firefox to work on my CentOS laptop (for vimeo). I installed the gstreamer plugins as described here: https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7 (No, I did not install Flash, VLC and all the other stuff. I only want HTML5 MP4 playback..) I enabled the nux repos. I did install all available gstreamer plugins, i.e. -good -bad

Sysvol GPO ACLs problem
Hi, We are having problems with sysvol AD shared folder in a Samba 4.9.13 AD. Has been running smoothly until recently, and we don't know how to fix it. We detected the problem trying to create a new AD GPO, it fails with the message (sorry, we have windows in Spanish, it's not literal translation): "this security identifier cannot be assigned as object owner". If we execute

Sysvol GPO ACLs problem
Hi, Hello, I have been investigating and I am afraid that our case is the same as this one: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2017-September/210724.html As you said, we have a problem with the gidNumber inherited from a migration from samba 3.x NT4 to samba 4.x AD. I have followed your prompts, removing the gidNumber from all AD 'BUILTIN' groups, in addition to the

It looks it works fine in Firefox, Opera for Windows, VLC, mplayer, ffmpegplay, some other Linux browsers. It fails in Chrome (and Chromium), the video looks very out of synchronization. I

Rails - Mock going out of scope?
Hello list, I think I have a rails related RSpec problem with a mock going out of scope on a recursive call to a model. The code is at: http://pastie.textmate.org/79821 if you want to see it highlighted. I have pasted it below as well. Basically, I have an acts_as_nested_set model called "Node", which works fine. I have a function which finds the language name of the node instance.
