Windows Source Client
I'm looking for a good source client that runs on windows 10 that can take
a feed and stream AAC MP3 and possibly Opus to my icecast2 server.
Everything seems dead on the app list.
I found rocketcaster but I'm hesitant to spend money on something I've
never heard of.
Any suggestions?

king fm m3u streams
Hi,
Thanks, that helps. What I really want however, is an MP3 stream that
can play on a WI-FI mp3 player. I know the m3u streams, but they wont
play. I can find the stream for the regular KING HD-1, but not for
opera or evergreen.

king fm m3u streams
Hi,
I'm having a problem listening to the KING operamobile-48 or
evergreenmobile-48 m3u streams?
http://icy2.abacast.com/king-evergreenmobile-48.m3u, and
http://icy2.abacast.com/king-operamobile-48.m3u . Does anyone else have
this problem? Anyone know of a way to fix the problem?

Linux source-client that can push AAC to icecast2?
Hi all, I set up ezstream to read a playlist.m3u file containing only MP3 encoded songs (to shuffle continuously) and push this to icecast2. This works, and I can also reencode to a lower bitrate.
I would like to know if there is a way to reencode these MP3s into AAC-LC 128kpbs and then push the stream to icecast2. I'm doing this on a VM with only terminal access and no audio hardware, so

Stream playback issue
Can anyone tell me why this AAC+ Icecast stream will not play.
http://s2.stationplaylist.com:7014/listen.aac.m3u
The Icecast Server web page looks fine with a 64k stream.
We host a small number of streams and other 64k AAC+ streams are working
fine but this one won't play in any player.
Thanks,
Ross.

FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for WMP Supports Icecast2
A FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for Microsoft Windows Media Player that
fully supports the Icecast2 Server is available for download here:
http://www.orban.com/plugin
FYI:
This plugin supports .asx for Windows Media Player NOT .pls or .m3u.
Also streams can be opened directly by using newly created UIL
redirectors, e.g., icyx:// instead of http:// and rtpx:// instead of
rtsp://. This is all covered

AACPlus Shoutcast v1.90
OK, I've organized this.
It's not possible to average 32kb/s stereo with Vorbis using VBR.
Quality -2 stereo proeduces roughly 32 to 38kb/s which is too high for
many modems.
I would have to use ABR, but last I tried that, it utilized too much CPU
for my 950Mhz PC, and oddcast doesn't appear to support that option
anymore.
I've tried AACPlus 32kb/s mono and there is very

Some of these encoders are not licensed for commercial use.
Or even licensed at all.

FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for WMP Supports Icecast2
Ok, I read the Read Me.
So icyx://boa.mediacast1.com:9292/stream.aac works.
I don't understand why the http syntax cannot be made to work. This
works fine for Ogg Vorbis streams using the Illumination DirectShow
filter.

Selecting conditionally from HABTM
Hello,
I was wondering whether there is a nice Rubyesque way of selecting
from a pair of HABTM models where one of them is inherited from
another object.
Here is the situation:
I have a ''posts'' table from which ''replies'' and ''articles'' are
inherited. Articles have_and_belong_to_many categories, but neither
posts nor replies do (it just does
