Hi Erwin, Not sure if this might be related. Not sure if you are connecting the fallback to another stream or to just a file. If it is a file, then you can get buffering issues because most clients have buffers they can fill with minutes of audio. Hello everyone, I am running Icecast 2.0.0 with ices-3.0. I run ices on a machine which has all the mp3 files I am playing and stream these mp3 to Icecast which is running on another machine. Every now and then, say 2 hours. Ices keeps churning out errors saying updating meta data and socket errors and keeps retrying and after some time it suceeds for one file and then when playing the next file

changes, there are lots of formatting changes, and things like additions of "XXX: ..." comments that don't say anything helpful - these will need removing before the patches are really reviewable. A higher-level description of what you're attempting to accomplish with these patchsets would also be very helpful - but much more detail than "performance and reliability".
