SSL Setup
I use Let's Encrypt for SSL with icecast. Here is my rudimentary script on GitHub... It does NOT require Apache or nginx.

Yes. Though I don't know if using an arbitrary one works from the admin
directory. Certainly you can put them in icecast's webroot directory (or some

Could not parse XSLT file
Hi There...
I just installed icecast-2.2.0 ok, the stream server works, however
when I try to access the web interface, my browser displays the
message "Could not parse XSLT file". XSLT seems to be configured as
there were no compile problems. Google hasn't yielded much help.. Any
Ideas?

Ok. Please have a look at the config file (icecast*.xml). In the <paths>
section there should be a <webroot> as well as a <adminroot> setting. Do
those point to existing directories with some *.xsl in them?

general questions
Okay, just to satisfy my mind, can someone give me a rundown on what the
other things do (other than the streaming portion)
admin root
web root
by setting these I'm not sure what to put in there or how to access
them...
and how to use the xsl files? I still cannot find anything on it.
Sorry if it all sounds stupid, it's just been rather difficult to find
what I am looking for

Problem with intermediate certificate (tls cafile)
I have several samba servers on Debian 10 all using :
samba 2:4.9.5+dfsg-5+deb10u1 amd64
I use tls cafile, tls certfile and tls keyfile with certificates from
Sectigo (https://cert-manager.com)
And when checking my connexion from the samba server, or from outside,
I've got "unable to verify the first certificate" even if tls_cafile is
provided in smb.conf.

Why not just use the API? Remove the ".xsl" from any URL in the admin
interface and get the raw XML. The rendered webinterface

Dovecot replies with default SSL certificate instead of the vhost's
Hello,
I'm using dovecot v2.0.21.
According to http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SSL/DovecotConfiguration,dovecot 2.x supports different SSL certificate for different virtual hosts by using "local_name" directive, but I can't get it to work.
When testing the certificate using "openssl s_client -connect domain.com:pop3s" I get the default certificate instead of

I think I got it.
I needed to change the following: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/admin/listclients.xsl?mount=/mountpoint to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000/admin/listclients?mount=/mountpoint and that gives me the XML. No need to change or modify anything. Now how do I get the json as I prefer json?

Procedure to Install Icecast 2.4.2 in Linux
Hello Philipp. Thanks so much for the educatin about why not to build myself.
The error I was getting, from a browser when I tried to open the URL to my machine running Icecast, was a 404 error and a message that it couldn't find the XSLT files. I'll install the packaged build again later today and provide you exact error text, but I remember it saying it couldn't find or process the

r-project.org SSL certificate issues
It's the top of chain CA cert, so browsers are being lazy and helpful
to humans by (incorrectly, albeit) relying on the existing trust
relationship.
libcurl (et al) is not nearly as forgiving.
