@Mikel You could use Centova's port 80 proxy meanwhile couldn't you? Also. Centova Cast doesn't have an SSL setting for the servers unless you're manually overwriting the server config files.. or is it? (see forwarded mail further below) Shoutcast v1, Shoutcast v2, Icecast-KH are all "compatible" with the way info is collected by StreamLicensing. Some may wonder why bothering to humor StreamLicensig, but the thing is that other licensing/royalty collectors did it the same way. StreamLicensing are now sadly the only ones that cater to small independent station that do not wish to be

For example, this station: http://radio.dyne.org:8000/ondarossa.mp3 has got a xspf file? I obtain a message: Could not parse XSLT file when i try to open it For the stations that I can't found in yp.xml (e.g. http://212.162.68.230/1.mp3 http://212.162.68.230/2.mp3 http://212.162.68.230/3.mp3 http://stream15.top-ix.org/ondequadre ) it means they aren't on an official

The XSPF files are generated on the fly, yes. Beware they are NOT intended for automatic processing. They are for users to browse and click. Also the URLs for those XSPF files are NOT stable and may change at

xspf.xsl
Hi, Trying to use XSPF as playlist generator in Icecast I noticed the XSPF link in the admin pages doesn't work. I used the lastest SVN checkout. I think it's just the simple case of the xspf.xsl file not being copied to the installation directory on 'make install'. I copied the file to share/icecast/admin/ and the link works just fine. Icecast "autodj" and static fallback file problems
Hi. I have icecast2 setup that has multiple mounts, reserved for live streams. They all have common fallback mount to /autodj where Ezstream streams mp3 files. My problem number 1 is that listeners seem to jump into wrong mounts after they have fallen back from their original mount. For example listeners connect to /live1, there is no stream in /live1 so they fallback to /autodj, now /live2

Anyone??
Hi Ivo, This program is basically a configurable automation system for Ices. You can (will be able to) use it to control what Ices plays and when. As such, it really doesn't have anything to do with playlist file formats such as XSPF, as all its data will be contained in a database. It may be desirable for the system to be able to import lists of tracks etc from existing playlist

Flash stream support
Not sure about what your client wants, but... I can confirm that *some* flash players can handle mp3 streams streamed by icecast or other stream engines - e.g. the XSPF Player : http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/ . <xspf specific> For this one you just give the url of your mountpoint as parameter (song_url). It doesn't work if you pass it thru the xspf playlist. BTW, it doesn't

Cleanup: Killing the old XSPF mailing list?
I mean this one: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/xspf/ It has 6 messages in total. The reason why I think we should kill it is that it potentially confuses people looking the XSPF mailing list. What do you think? Who has is able to such a cleanup task? Sebastian

[admin] Creating an #xspf channel on Freenode
Hello! In order to be able to permanently "register" the #xspf channel I need to be approved as a Xiph.org contact, either a general or XSPF-specific one, not sure. I guess some Xiph person has gone through the process filling out http://freenode.net/group_contact_form.shtml before? Would be great to hear how you want me to do that or if there's anything I should know about
