Unicast or Multicast?
Hi, there!
I have a doubt about if this server supports unicast, multicast or both. I
was looking for information in the web but I couldn't found anything.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks

Unicast or Multicast?
@Phil
nice text...
just want to mention (or better ask...)
what the difference between a protocol which implements multiple
connections simultaneously and a protocol implementing multiple
connections by connection tracking?
In the end... its the same...

configuration & error help
Hi everybody, just a new face showing up looking for a little help
configuring IceCast.
Just installed the software with a few other programs in an attempt to
start off my own internet radio station.
Using SimpleCast to take the line-in and stream it to IceCast, which
in-turn does the obvious and streams it to the internet.
I'm looking at just creating a station of just 5 max users (for

We just upgraded to 2.4.0. Before that we were getting correct numbers. I

Darkice "Buffer overrun": how to troubleshoot?
We're running a darkice/icecast configuration to stream our LPFM radio
station (and to provide a quick-n-dirty studio-transmitter-link). (See
config data below.)
We're getting intermittent "Buffer overrun!" errors out of darkice, and
we associate these with interruptions in our audio stream that are quite
noticeable. These occur anywhere from once to ten times per hour.

Problem with fallback on 2.31 on Windows XP
Could you post the config you used with comments?
Currently there is at least one closing comment tag without a opening tag
as far as I can see, which is confusing.
If that is the file you are using, maybe you accidentally commented it out?
Despite that it should works, but all of the paths in the config need to be
adjusted for Windows!

multiple instances?
Hello, unosonic,
Okay, we'll do it this way as it appears to be the only sane way...
THIS is the xml config file that I've been using for ONE STREAM ONLY.
No more than one stream nor any other port on that single stream, for that matter, has ever worked to date.
There also seems to be alot of clutter but as I've NEVER had to use these oddball format files before (in any of my 30

Icecast Fedora9 migration problems
Ok, First I want to start off with this isn't the first icecast I have
cloned, but it is the first where I have not only jumped Fedora release
versions, but arch types as well (i386 - x86_64) and I am having strange
problems. The Icecast versions are the same between the old and new servers.
The biggest being is that the server binds to whatever port it feels
like instead of the bind port

I have been trying to use liveice with icecast to stream live audio. I am
