Zero listeners on icecast stats
I must try that. Will let you know asap! btw I'm not "trying to stick with the one that has the most universal "default browser support" but instead trying to avoid a LOT of listeners writing me "my player/browser/whatever doesn't connect, it doesn't understand ogg / opus / xspf " etc. etc. - so mp3 it is. It's simple surviving :) On 3/18/20, Jeroen van

Zero listeners on icecast stats
Hi there, I just set up a system of fallback streams for our free radio station here but I have this weird problem: it always show zero listeners. Our setup is this: We have a listening mount point for people - that fall back to a live streaming from a cellular phone - that fall back to a live streaming from a base station (a pc), that fall back to a 24/7 archive streaming. No matter what the

Blocking IP addresses on a per mountpoint level
Thanks. Indeed - but is it it possible to block IP addresses on a per mountpoint level? For example, my user with /mountpointA.ogg does not mind being hammered by connections from 93.184.216.34 [example.com] but my user with /mountpointB.ogg wants to block that IP address. Using iptables I've blocked connections, at a server level, from example.com for my User B but my User A doesn't

help on listener connection stats
Hi, I see two statistics on the admin web page. On my system "listeners" is usually 0. Sometimes I will actually catch it at 1 or 2, but it is 0 99% of the time. On the other hand "listener_connections" is always going up. If I refresh the screen it goes up by a few. If I wait an hour and refresh it goes up by tens. Over a few days it goes up by hundreds. What is this

Well, the fallback mount is still a mount-point nonetheless. you could still use it as a "regular" mount-point even if its configured as a fallback to another. Now, as for the statistics, should we be able to help without knowing

parsing icecast 1 and icecast2 logs in GUI web format
Eisele, Would you mind sharing with myself and other what you did to get this running? I am very familiar with webalizer, but perhaps others are not so. I'd be curious to see your scripts for getting it to work with MRTG seeing as how I use that often as well. Thanks. Use web admin to re-start source?
Hi, I see that I can use the "Kill Source" button on the Icecast admin web page to kill our fallback.mp3 file. Now that I have killed the fallback file, I don't see a way to re-start it. Do I need to stop / start the icecast service? -- That Jack Elliott (541) 848 7021 KPOV 88.9 FM High Desert Community radio Producer, The Wednesday Point Host, The Sunday Classics

[Icecast-dev] metadata fallback mounts
Hi all, I posted this message before on icecast-dev, but I guess it's more appropiate here. First of all thanks again for icecast2. It keeps surprising me how easy and stable it is to use! I'm working with icecast2 from SVN now (revision 10692) and it's mount point features. I've created the top mount point '/play.ogg' so we have only one main mount point for users
