Looking for some advice to two problems I'm having
That should be due to the sampling frequency fluctuating between tracks Check that they are all consistent at 44.1khz for example. Best source for creating multiple streams
Hi there. I'm trying to find a way to create multiple streams with one source client. Each of the streams should read from a different playlist file and randomly pull and play songs from the file. I know how to do this with a single stream with clients such as IceS and Ezstream, but I don't see a way to specify different playlists for each mountpoint. I was wondering if anyone had any

How do you create different logs files for each stream? Yes, but I'd rather not attempt to learn how to script Liquid Soap just to pull off what I want. If it's the only client that supports this though, I'll give it a look. Simple source on Debian
Hi there. Thanks for the tip about Ices2. Do you know if it's possible to make it work with mp3 files? I only ask because there are several people who stream using my server, and they use mp3. I'm trying to create fallback streams, but in order for that to work, I'd have to get them to switch to ogg or find a way to make Ices work with mp3. Thanks On 6/9/15, Jos? Luis Artuch

Carl, are you saying that I need ices2 for two mount points? I don't have an ices-playlist.xml file, I only have an /etc/icecast2/Icecast.xml file. Having an intro play for a fallback stream
Hello again evveryone. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to force Icecast to play the intro of a fallback stream? For example, if a live stream is active, then disconnects, people are routed back to a fallback stream, but it doesn't play the introduction I have set for that stream. It only plays if someone starts to listen and they start with the fallback stream. Thanks

[LLVMdev] Throwing an exception from JITed code, and catching in C++
Hi everyone, I am writing an application that uses LLVM JIT and I would like to throw an exception from the JIT and catch it in the C++ code that invokes the JIT. This does not seem to work. I've written what is hopefully a super simple demonstration to reproduce this. I would appreciate any help with this. Thank you The demonstration is composed of: 1) thrower.cpp - a source file that

New and need help
Hello everyone. I haven't used Icecast yet but I'm hoping it can help me with what I want to do. I listen to podcasts a lot. Most of the time I'm at work I have something playing in the background. The problem is once one ends I have to select another to play. Or if they have all been played I can't use the auto next feature. So what I would like to do is setup a machine

Graceful stop in, timeouts out (for now)
Hey Luis, Just implemented the first cut at a graceful stop setup. It seems to mostly work except for a few hicups here and there which I''ll test out. I''ve tested this under OSX and will test on the other platforms soon. To use it take a look at the examples/simpletest.rb and see how I setup an "INT" handler to call HttpServer.stop. Hopefully this will help with

stable + squid 2.5_3
I seem to be having a problem, but I'm not sure if it's -stable, Squid, or neither. I've been running -stable+Squid on a Dell 4600 for a couple years now. All has been well, but after upgrading to Squid 2.5_3 (which was also done on a couple other, less-loaded, -stable machines without this issue to date), I occasionally get errors in my cache.log and this AM Squid died and required

First, I hope that this message is not considered flame bait. As someone who has used FreeBSD for for 5+ years now, I have a genuine interest in the integrity of our source code. Second, I hope that this message is not taken as any form of insult or finger pointing. Software without bugs does not exist, and I think we all know that. Drive activity every 30sec
I have a Centos installed on a Hitachi 2.5" drive that shuts off really quickly, it seems. So every 30 sec, the drive makes the sound of an access activity. I have looked trying to find what might be being updated. Swap drive usage is 0 bytes. No activity in /var/log. What might it be and can I do anything to lessen the drive access (improve battery life)?
