Net > DMZ and AllowFTP
I am trying to get the AllowFTP action to work for Net > DMZ traffic and
FTP pasv. I know it is kind of working, as the user can log in, however,
it fails at the port. I have had to open up some high ports for pasv to
work. Now I know this aint cool, so does anyone know what a person has
to do to get the AllowFTP action to work the same way it does if I was
just ftp to the firewall, which does

howto improve sharpeness of fonts in a jpg-image produced by R ?
Hi.
I've done a standard barplotexample using R1-8.0, redhat8, probably using a
GhostScript-integration.
How can I improve the "sharpness" of the fonts.
See for example the barplot (originally jpg coming from R) which is part of
this screendump:

centile reference chart / clildren growth chart - what package/method to use
We are constructing growth charts (age/weight and age/length) for children
with diagnosis that impacts weight/length.
But we we don't know how to use R for producing growth charts.
We are collection data of Age, Weight and Length.
The data are used to produce diagnosis-specific Growth charts (like the CDC

Net > DMZ > AllowFTP
Lables:
Gateway = 209.5.171.65
Netmask = 255.255.255.192
Eth0 = net = 209.5.171.66
Eth1 = loc = 192.168.0.1
There is no NAT clients, in essence loc is dmz. I can rename loc to dmz
if that helps. Proxy/ARP is used for IP addresses 209.5.171.67-126
Problem:
Using the Shorewall Action AllowFTP does not result in desired behavior
when connecting from Internet to machines behind firewall in DMZ. From

help with rules / log entries
Hello,
I''m working in configuring a very restrictive firewall to stick between our
techroom and our internal network. Basically nothing should be allowed into
the techroom and only a limited amount of traffic is to leave the techroom.
Below are a few log entries I looking to get explained.
DHCP is handled by the firewall, DNS is handled by servers side our
techroom.

Dear R-list.
I'm doing af logistic analyses using gml.
The model explaines variations in Adverse events infections (0 og 1) using
age as explanatory variable.
model2d<-glm(formula=AEorSAEInfecBac~Age,family=binomial("logit"),data=emrisk)
I want to get predictions with 95% confidence limits for age 30 and age 60.
I've been reading the "google" and "search

Intermittant Samba glitch
Hi there,
Let me just start by saying that I am a bit of a Linux newbie, but that Shorewall seems an excellant product. The issue I''m reporting wont stop me from using it, it still does 99% of what I need.
Anyway, I have a resonably simple two interface system. My server (HatMannz, P3-900MHz with a RAID-1 array of 80GB IDE drives running Red Hat 9.0) connects to a cable modem via eth1

Hi all,
I was trying to test ROUTE specific code with a multi-isp serviced box.

xapian-check on "crashed" index?
Hi.
Is xapian-check aware of the uncommitted data that could be
sitting in an xapian index if the indexer has crashed during indexing.
Could errors be falsely reported by xapian-chek in this situation?

Masq errors?
Hi all,
I have a problem with a new Shorewall box I''m trying to migrate from
iptables rules to shorewall 2.2.0.
I have a 3 interfaces setup:

- eth1 ---> remote office (10.0.0.0/8)
- eth2 ---> lan (192.168.16.0/24)

Logging and Actions
Ian has proposed that we change the way that logging interacts with
defined actions. Currently, if logging is specified on the invocation of
an action (e.g., "AllowFTP:info all all"), all traffic sent to the
AllowFTP chain is logged. In most cases, this isn''t what the user
intended and other people have expressed surprise about this behavior in
the past.
The way I see this

wilcoxon-pratt signed rank test in R - drug-effiacy
Hi.
I'm going to introduce the R-package for a group of medical doctors later
this week and is a little confused about there use of a test named
"willcoxon-pratt" for testing if the clinical and biochemical markers has
decreased significantly after the use of some drugs for a group of patients.
Looking into the R-functions I would in R recommand using a matched-pairs

Two ISP
Hello all.
First of all, please be a bit indulgent to my poor English :-).
Second, this message is "kinda" BIG, so if you don''t like BIG
messages, simply don''t read it :-).
I''ve read http://shorewall.net/2.0/Shorewall_and_Routing.html
and http://shorewall.net/MultiISP.html, however I still a bit confused how
to organize what I need :-).
I''ve a
