Source can't connect to Icecast with SSL enabled
No I haven't because I thought SSL would be only enabled for the listener auth, not source auth. So apparently if I want listener SSL the source must support SSL also ? That sounds kind of unnecessary and preferably should be an option. If this is not possible I guess stunnel is the only way to go. Thank you very much. On Wed, Jan 14, 2015 at 1:46 PM, "Thomas B. Icecast AAC FLV Container
Hello, I am using Icecast v2.4.1 to to stream AAC audio to web clients through jPlayer. If HTML5 is not supported then it uses Flash Player. The problem is that Flash player does not play AAC streams as is, and from a quick google search someonw suggested I append "?type=.flv" to the url. I cannot make it work though as whatever I request, I get a response with mime type

After I enabled SSL, stream mountpoints broke
Philipp, Thank you for your quick response. I can't believe that I didn't think of that...I guess I just assumed that it would use SSL. I'm using Liquidsoap as my source client. Once you brought that up I started researching whether there was a way to force Liquidsoap to use SSL and from what I found it doesn't look like there is an option...but please correct me if you or

Icecast relay/fallback problem
Hi list, I'm having some problems with my new Icecast setup and I was hoping you can help me with it. My Icecast setup looks like this: [encoder] [encoder] \ / [back-end node] | | | | [fn1][fn2][fn3][fn4] I have two active encoders, one is encoding to the active mount and one is encoding to the fallback mount on the back-end node. Configuration of the

OK, then you should have two separate listener sockets. One for SSL and one without. Point the source client to the one without. Advertize the one with SSL to listeners. Icecast Digest, Vol 175, Issue 11
Hi, I installed from source using the tarball on the liquidsoap website. I installed curl as a prerequisite before building icecast from source. A version check shows that I have the current version of curl as follows: curl 7.52.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.52. The first part of the log shows that YP server handling is disabled though. (I pasted a fuller snippet of the log earlier but it’s

Icecast and AAC streams
Unfortunately, Dennis, my source stream is 128kbps and will never go higher. Is Liquidsoap still a good idea? EZStream and Cue Sheets
I could, but I have this big old Fedora system just waiting for me to get LS working on it, so I think I need to concentrate on making that happen. If it's hard, difficult, tedious, inconvenient, then that's what it is. I want the cue sheet capability some way somehow, so I'm just going to have to knuckle down and buckle down and do it. Right?
