I was told that I implemented config reload via the web interface for
that reason[0]. Seems I forgot about it. I'm sorry for that.
You can find it as a button in the 'Global server

Fallback stream not preventing a disconnect
Dear Philipp,
Thanks for this fast answer.
I'm using "Icecast 2.3.3-kh7-20130425090916", installed on a Raspberry Pi 3
using the cononical "sudo apt-get install".
The output was copied from the log file in /var/log/icecast2/error.log.
Kind regards,

Ok. Please have a look at the config file (icecast*.xml). In the <paths>
section there should be a <webroot> as well as a <adminroot> setting. Do
those point to existing directories with some *.xsl in them?

Fallback stream not preventing a disconnect
Dear Philipp,
I've compiled it from source on my raspberry pi, and replaced the binary
from the synaptic package manager with the compiled one. Everyting is
working fine now, it seems that there is indeed a "faulty" package in the
repository. I don't know who I should contact to get this fixed?
Anyway, it works, but while using ogg as output stream from mopidy, I get a

After I enabled SSL, stream mountpoints broke
Philipp,
Thank you for your quick response. I can't believe that I didn't think of
that...I guess I just assumed that it would use SSL. I'm using Liquidsoap
as my source client. Once you brought that up I started researching
whether there was a way to force Liquidsoap to use SSL and from what I
found it doesn't look like there is an option...but please correct me if

No, official Icecast does not support HEAD requests as they are largely
useless in Icecast context.
HEAD requests are meant for cache validation. So they only apply to

TuneIn Won't Record from my Icecast Relays
Hi. If I open http://audio-mp3.ibiblio.org:8000/wncw-128k, or any other URL on my TuneIn app in iOS, I have the ability to record those streams for later listening. However, if I relay any of those streams via Icecast 2.42 on Windows 8.1, I can't record in TuneIn Pro. Is there a known cause or work-around for this? Thanks!

You should never kill process with SIGKILL if not really, really needed.
Using SIGKILL will not give them a chance to clean up. E.g. no flushing

Protect Icecast Admin/Run on different port?
Hi list,
We're new to Icecast and we're looking at securing the admin functions.
I've trawled the docs but it's not clear to me if we are able to run
this on a different TCP port to the streams themselves.
Has anyone with a little more experience any insight into this?
Thanks,
David.

Open bugs/features for contribution.
Hi,
I am new to Icecast open source project and I would like to contribute into
this open source project. Looking for some kind of guidelines how to get
started and where to browse for the open issues or features to look into.
Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

Procedure to Install Icecast 2.4.2 in Linux
Hello Philipp. Thanks so much for the educatin about why not to build myself.
The error I was getting, from a browser when I tried to open the URL to my machine running Icecast, was a 404 error and a message that it couldn't find the XSLT files. I'll install the packaged build again later today and provide you exact error text, but I remember it saying it couldn't find or process the

TuneIn Won't Record from my Icecast Relays
? Icecast is running on Windows.
? I can successfully listen to the relay via TuneIn, but I cannot record from the relay. The record button, in TuneIn, is disabled when I play the relay in TuneIn. Playing the actual source (provided in my initial email), the record feature is enabled in TuneIn.
? TuneIn is running on iOS 8.4.1.
? The result is the same if I point TuneIn Pro to the stream or

No password for private network
I'd really like an option "noprivate" or somesuch within the 'authentication'
specification which would not require a password for listener requests originating
from a private network (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x, etc ).
Is this posssible?
