Shorewall and ucarp for firewall redundancy
Has anyone toyed with using Shorewall in conjunction with the userland implementation of the OBSD-based common address redundancy protocol? Would like any preliminary feedback before I devote time to the project. Details on UCARP: http://www.ucarp.org/ Details available on OBSD CARP: http://www.openbsd.org/lyrics.html http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=carp

Failover
I''m expermienting with Shorewall for use protecting my servers(about 25 all currently using pub addresses). My pointy-haired-boss is somewhat sceptical about adding a firewall that would be a single point of failier for our services. Does anyone have a good set of documentation that I could use in setting up either an Active/Active or Active/passive setup with two identical shorewall

Shorewall make my firewall fly!
I''ve just put in production a Linux firewall with 4 ethernet interfaces and 3 openvpn tun virtual interfaces. With Shorewall everything work like a charm (only a little hassle with some details, due to bad configuration, not bugs!) Great tool! Tom and other Shorewall developers, you all are great! theora II interest.
Hi first I'm happy that theora 1.1 is almost complete. I'm not a specialist in internals of video coding , still currently I'm involved in online video projects so I have a great interest in theora and it's future. Here http://wiki.xiph.org/TheoraTodo#Theora_II it is mentioned that there are ways to significantly improve theora. Are there plans for near future? I tried to look

FLAME
Yesterday I ported FLAME to OS X (http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/flame/index.html). FLAME is a system to automatically (currently semi-automatically) generate efficient and correct linear algebra routines in C or MATLAB or MPI from descriptions of the algorithms. It uses code that relies heavily on partitioning of matrices, and avoids indices as much as possible. There are a number of

Repost: System crash on loading gdm revisited
Hello - I never heard back on this and continue to experience this bug. Can someone help me to locate the patch for this so that I can be sure it's included in my source? It's not happening on every boot, but about every other or third. And just as described in the bug report (the boot works OK, but at the end rather than GDM starting nicely, I get a "fuzzy" screen and the

Testing this significance of a factor in a mixed-model "ANCOVA"
R-users - I must preface this question by saying that I'm a relative newbie to both R and mixed-modeling. I'm using lme fit an ANCOVA-like model. My data consist of bone length measurements for a developmental series of two capuchin monkey species. I'm interested in whether the rate of bone length scaling to body mass (i.e., growth) differs between species. My call to lme

No, I am running the LLVM pass at the compilation step. So by the time I reach the link step, the transformed bitcode has been generated. Ashay On Mon, Sep 12, 2011 at 4:12 PM, Dmitry N.
