Icecast 2.4.99.1 Opus Metadata. status.xsl and playlist.log
Hello,
I'm currently testing Icecast 2.4.99.1 in regards to Opus metadata support.
I have a Ogg Opus stream located here:
http://50.31.159.156/64.opus
When I playback the stream in VLC I see the expected metadata displayed in
the client.
ffprobe and mediainfo also return the expected metadata.

Icecast2 / edcast Initial Setup Question
Hi,
I have setup Icecast2 and edcast (standalone) on an XPSP3 machine. The
basic setup works. I can speak into a microphone and hear my voice from
another PC on a LAN.
Now I want to "stream a file" such as an mp3 podcast I made or just a
song (mp3, acc etc.) or play a CD and don't know what to even search for
in the mail archives, forum or Google to get help.
I can't

No sound on any stream.
Brad, now I see that there is the Mount Point, but no audio is heard.
Maybe the name of the Mount Point (66.228.49.182.ogg) is not
correct ?? ... Try to rename the Mount Point.
I think you should put blahblahblah.ogg, with only one point (between
the extension "ogg" and the rest of the name):
<mount>
<mount-name>/blahblahblah.ogg</mount-name>

Correctly setting up sound with Intel High Definition ICH7
Hi,
Earlier this day I started a thread about Skype not working with
outgoing sound. Now I wonder if it's not a problem with my soundcard. I
had a vague suspicion about this, but since it's way off the original
topic, I decided to start a new thread about this.
Here's what the soundcard looks like:
[root at grossebertha etc]# lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel

No sound on any stream.
I figured out half the issue.
Icecast appears to be transmitting on port 8000 just fine. The more I dig,
the more I realize icecast is fine.
Browser vlc seems to be broke. Direct connect via VLC standalone to ->
http://66.228.49.182:8000/66.228.49.182.ogg.m3u works perfect.
http://tinypic.com/r/2yl1qhc/6
I break there.
Thank you!

Hi Folks
First of all, excuse my bad english.

<fallback-override>
Hello!
I have a fallback mount point with <fallback-override>.
When my source client reconnects, the media player is moved mack to the
right mount point but the media players I have tried (mplayer and VLC)
keep playing the fallback.
Is this because of my source client (liquidsoap), icecast or the media
players?
I think I noticed some message in mplayer about mime type or something.

Attempts at live streaming (long)
I would like to hear from anyone who has had some success in this area. I
have got it to work but the picture freezes and stays frozen when there is
a lot of motion. I will share how I got to that stage since I have tried
some different approaches to those I have seen documented so far.
I currently stream live video events for a non-profit using Helix Producer
but would like to move to something

Hi, thanks. One question did you use these 2 functions
speex_echo_playback
speex_echo_capture
No, I didn't use them. I use my own code to buffer microphone and speaker
data.

Can't get ices to work on secondary audio card
Hi,
I've been having LOTS of problems lately getting ices to work the way I want on
my computer and I've just about gotten to the last problem.
When broadcasting live media off of any sound card other than the primary
(Default, aka: /dev/dsp) sound device I only end up broadcasting silence.
Furthermore, the connection time is much longer than usual and not because of
buffering. I

Live streaming from Mac OS X
Thanks !
changed the format to MP3, am getting the icecast stream now.
Just realized that esound is capturing the microphone input, wanted to
stream the music being played by itunes (basically something like
hijacking+streaming the audio). This dosent come under icecast, just
wondering if u know of anything related.
