Bridging Firewall with windows OpenVPN road warriors?
I have previously set up an openvpn LAN to LAN bridging VPN so I know a
little about what has to happen. The gateways on either ends were
running older version of shorewall that did not support openvpn directly
so I just basically opened ports for it and used bridging with tap
interfaces. I am no longer using that vpn link to the other house but
now that i''ve upgraded I would like

VPN suggestions centos 6, 7
Folks
I would like to have my windows 7 laptop communicate with my home
server via a VPN, in such a way that it appears to be "inside" my
home network. It should not only let me appear to be at home for any
external query, but also let me access my computers inside my home.
I already have this working using M$'s PPTP using my home Centos 6
gateway/router as the PoPToP server.

An interface can reference multiple zones...
Via creative use of the instructions at
http://shorewall.net/Multiple_Zones.html#id2497549.
But can a zone (in shorewall/interfaces) reference multiple interfaces?
I have two openvpn instances running on my server, one bridged (for
upstream access to some client vpn''s so I don''t have to request the
clients add new subnets to their routing tables) and one routed (for

Forwarding external traffic to another external server?
I''m trying to use my VPS server (single interface of course) as
somewhat of a VPN gateway to my other location (which is not
accessible directly from some places) where the openvpn server is
running, and am kind of lost as to what to try next.
I tried a redirect rule, but apparently shorewall didn''t like that (it
just failed to start).
I tried adding the rules via

Problem With OpenVPN Connectivity
Hi,
I''m running Slackware 13.37 x86 using Shorewall 4.4.21 with OpenVPN and the
VPN options I''m using in Slackware 13.37 will not work in Shorewall, but in
Slackware 13.1 using the same Shorewall version and files, the ''interfaces'',
''policy'' and ''zone'', are all I have configured, it was working and this also

OpenVPN + SIP configuration?
Hello
I read a whole book on OpenVPN, but still can't figure how to
configure the server + client so that the the client connects and
sends SIP/RTP data through the tunnel.
To get started, I'd rather use a shared key instead of X509
(certificates + keys). The server is running on a uClinux appliance,
with /dev/net/tun, and OpenVPN is 2.0.9. The clients will be Windows
hosts connecting

CONNMARK target and connmark match support in Ubuntu kernel
Hi,
as per the shorewall MultiISP documentation ( http://www1.shorewall.net/MultiISP.html
), it says
"Use of this feature requires that your kernel and iptables include
CONNMARK target and connmark match support (Warning: Standard Debian™
and Ubuntu™ kernels are lacking that support!)."
it means MultiISP wont work properly if i am using Ubuntu server. if

Bridging problem with Shorewall and OpenVpn
Hello All,
I am trying to implement OpenVPN on Fedora core Linux 3 with the latest
pathces

server, with kernel 2.6.1-1.27.FC3 and kernel 2.6.1-1.27.FC3 SMP
It has two NIC''s eth0 (10.0.0.150) connected to ADSL, eth1 (192.168.3.12)

I use shorewall 2.4 on this machine.

Openvpn, bridge and shorewall
Hi,
I have a Linux firewall based on shorewall with 2 NIC and ADSL (ppp0). My ppp0 ip is fixed. The internal NIC, eth1, is bridged with tap0, tap1 and tap2 to form br0. br0 subnet is 192.168.2.0/24.
The firewall is configured to masq internal traffic and block whatever needs to be blocked. It is also configured to tunnel openvpn v1.6.
I have a roaming laptop running XP. I can create a tunnel

Bridges, ebtables and OpenVPN [non member]
Hi all,
I''m trying to use OpenVPN as a VPN solution on a firewall running
Shorewall. The IPSEC VPN I tried first has shown a little bit unstable
under several conditions, especially with Windows clients.
As OpenVPN is best run in ''bridged'' mode (see
http://fedoranews.org/contributors/florin_andrei/openvpn/), I became
interested in the bridge capabilities of

$SOURCEIP is the ip of my OpenVPN/Fw/bridge)
iptables -A POSTROUTING -t nat -s 10.8.0.0/16 -j SNAT --to-source
$SOURCEIP
i wish to better integrate it within shorewall, so is there any config
