Using freeswitch and Icecast
Hi I am trying to use icecast to broadcast a realtime conference from
freeswitch. But I am having a delay like 20 seconds then I reduced it to
12s. But I don't know if somebody can help me how to reduce it as lower as
possible.
Thanks
Jorge

Icecast Digest, Vol 111, Issue 5
Thanks for your answer, well I changed this parameters on icecast.xml and
the the delay reduce from 20s to 12s
<burst-on-connect>0</burst-on-connect>
<burst-size>4096</burst-size>
Well I was trying to reproduce mp3 and ogg but both have 12 s of delay. How
can I reduce to maybe 1 or 2 seconds.

HTB doesn''t give me the promised rate: cpufreq?
Hi all :)
I''ve been using a tc setup for almost two years, but at some point
(probably when I switched to kernel 2.6.x, but I''m not sure) it has
started making something very weird.
For a certain class, the rate is 125000bit and the ceil is
270000bit, but the fastest rate I get is about 75-80000bit, instead of
the "promised" 125000, *with no other traffic in

Streaming to Doja devices
Hi,
Actually, I thought that Icecast did support seeking for static files. Of
course it doesn't for a live stream.

Slightly OT: OpenPBX.org and Freeswitch
This is slightly OT in that it isn't specifically *-related, but I was
wondering what the members of the * user community felt about these two
subjects. I've been perusing the OpenPBX.org mail list and the current hot
topic is the fact that their project has come to a grinding halt. They are
concerned that they don't have enough people working on their project. They
feel that * has

cpufreq affects rate in, at least, htb
Hi all :)
I''ve tested this and having a cpufreq that slows down the CPU
affects the rate of HTB. My ondemand cpufreq governor scales down the
CPU frequency about 40% and this is more or less the slowdown the rate
suffers, 40%.
Any known way of dealing with this without having to disable
cpufreq?
Thanks in advance :)

Query about Call Recording with Asterisk / Freeswitch in Cisco IPCC deployment
Hello,
One of our client company is providing hosted contact center solutions with
Cisco IPCC. To keep the Call Recording cost at low, they are planning to use
Asterisk / Free Switch. Can anyone integrate Cisco IPCC with Asterisk for
call recording ?

HTB burst/cburst decremented by one
Hi all :)
If I set the burst/cburst parameter to, let''s say, 1500, the
command "tc -s -d class show dev eth0" says that the value is 1499b/8
instead of the (correct?) 1500b/8.
Is this right or am I doing anything wrong?
Many thanks in advance :)

Delay on preroll
Hello
I have a problem when I use the intro to send a pre-roll, the main stream
generates a 20 second delay, when the main stream is played it has no delay.
Is there any parameter I can use to eliminate the delay?

The trick here is to find a way of serving the preroll without everyone
hearing it.
I guess you could use some on connect logic to determine if it should be
played,

Latency/burst problem with HTB
Hi all :)
I''m new to this list, as I''m new too to traffic shaping ;) I''ve
set up an FTP server in my ADSL line and I wanted it to serve as fast
as possible as long as I don''t use my outgoing ADSL bandwidth, and
I''m currently using HTB for that (succesfully, I must add).
The problem is (when the FTP server is serving higher than its

Regarding fallback mount points.
Hi all. I finally got my automating stream working. now, I do have a question for you all regarding fallback mount. I believe I have them setup correctly. but what I would want to do is when I go to http://kjscradio.com:8000/stream.mp3.m3u, I would like it to fallback to the mount point that I have setup for my automation stream. Then, when a source drops the connection from the /stream.mp3.m3u

server. I've got the icecast2 server set up, and to date have streamed
playlists only via ices0 or ices2, now I'm wanting to stream live
using winamp.
Software wise, I'm needing to use free or open source software, the
icecast2 server is a Linux machine, the Winamp will be on either a
Win7 or a WinXP
