Why are you replacing known spammers with these "banned" strings ? This forbids anti-spam filters & programs to do their jobs properly.

We have a postfix+cyrus+Spamassassin setup and all the virus or Banned or spam e-mails will move to a folder on /var/virusmails. I have a falseposative mail moved due to a banned attachment name. I've followed one of the pages on line specifically for installing fail2ban on Centos 7 and all looks fine. I am being attacked by an entire subnet where the first two parts of the IP address remain identical but the last two parts vary sufficiently that it is not caught by fail2ban since the attempts do not meet the cut-off of a certain number of attempts within the given time. Has anyone created a fail2ban filter for this type of attack? As of right now, I have manually banned a range of IP addresses
