Hi, Thanks, that helps. What I really want however, is an MP3 stream that can play on a WI-FI mp3 player. I know the m3u streams, but they wont play. I can find the stream for the regular KING HD-1, but not for opera or evergreen. M3U is just a playlist file, and can actually specify different types of streams: MP3, AAC, OGG, for example. The Logitech Squeezebox Product Family plays these streams nicely, although you will need to create an account on the Logitech Squeezebox site to add custom/favorite streams which are not in their Directory. This is no big deal though. -greg. ORBAN -----Original Message----- From: Bijan

Bijan- It will play in Windows Media Player 12, however there is a Microsoft bug (never heard of that), that requires you to click on the seek bar to actually start the audio output after you have connected to the stream URL. This only happens on Icecast2 sourced streams, not SHOUTcast, for whatever reason. I am trying to reach Microsoft about this, but so far, have been unsuccessful. I just

That's interesting, I didn't know m3u files could do that. Are they built up using xml? These are HE-AAC streams. They are working here just fine. Make sure your player correctly supports HE-AAC streams. -greg. Did you link the shared libraries? (step 2). Also, can you send me your configure option? rtp channels not through asterisk
In wiki pages it is stated that The audio channels (RTP) may go directly from phone to phone or may go through Asterisk's media bridge. Currently with my settings, I notice that all rtp's are passing through my asterisk. How could I achieve that they go directly from phone to phone? I assume this way, my machine will have less load and therefore could handle more calls. regards Bijan

Hi Oddsock, Like Clement, I am sure Nullsoft is still "offering" AOL's bandwidth since I think Nullsoft is not part of AOL anymore. About the new broadcasting methods, is the multicast technology already available? I have heard only few providers are equipped with multicast enabled routers. What about p2p streaming, is it really reliable? When I see Peercast's statistics, only

Customized M3u for Icecast. Are there additional switches on XML / M3u Ezstream to override MetaData Tags in Mp3 with alternate tags
Hello. I have been streaming IceCast for about three years now and have run into a problem, which I hope this forum can resolve We stream non copyright songs from independent musicians. When they upload their music to our site, they upload Mp3's of which some have entered the MetaData information in the MP3. Problem, musicians dont always do this, leaving the meta data very sparse.... When
