Stereo voice not being retained
Hello, I've been using Opus on an STM32 M4 platform for speech coding in mono mode. I thought I'd try stereo for grins to see if I can handle the CPU load, and I'm getting a return code of -1 from opus_decode_float (using CBR and 40ms frames). I decided to try the opusenc and opusdec tools to just see how the command line apps would behave. I am getting decoded audio, but I am

Fwd: TASCAM Pre-Sales Support Request has been received - Reference: 4B130AY5
I'm forwarding this to the Icecast list in hopes that others can gain some perspective on how the Tascam company operates currently as far as supporting the Linux platform...Kind of dissapointing since it is known that at least the US-100 product works very well with newer Linux distributions. Maybe we can gently push them in the right direction and gain an audio product company that supports

Password Change On Windows
Hi Community. I have at least just one short question. Is it possible to configure SAMBA in a way, that it notice the password change on Winn 2000 or Win XP system and adjust this password change in it's one password file without using LDAP or other password server? Thanks VJ

Silverman modality test
Dear R users, I've written the following functions to implement Silverman's modality test ("Using kernel density estimates to investigate multimodality", J.R. Stat. Soc. B, 43, (1981), 97-99.), and I tested them on the Chondrite data set (Good & Gaskins, J. Amer. Stat. Ass., 75, (1980), 42-56). Values for the critical window width seem OK, which is not the case for the

Samba/LDAP XP Authentication Weirdness
Samba 2.2.8a, RH7.3 I have successfully connected machines running XP to the samba controlled domain. There are 3 XP machines, each with only one user designated as a power user (ie domain\username power user). Each can log into any of the three machines without a problem. Now I am trying to log a different person into any of these machines and I get the message "System Could Not Log

Laptop SCSI capability supported by CentOS 7
I'm looking for a well-supported ExpressCard or PCMCIA/CardBus SCSI card that can do at least FastSCSI (Narrow, Wide not necessary) that is supported by CentOS 7. I have an Adaptec SlimSCSI 1460D, but it doesn't seem to be supported (it's previously supported by the aha152x driver). Any ideas are welcomed, other than 'just use a desktop.' I am not sure a USB or Firewire

Stereo voice not being retained
Hey Kevin! Once you start dropping under (I think) 32kbps, the codec naturally starts losing stereo separation for the benefit of quality. If you really want perfect stereo at 16kbps CBR (this is horrifically low in my opinion) you might be better off splitting the audio and encoding each part at 8kbps CBR. Or, there may be a magic "enforce 100% stereo" one could pass? (doesn't look

Best Way to Write Helpers Using Markaby?
Hey there Merbers, I''m a Merb neophyte checking it out with a simple app exploration after being inspired by Mr. Katz''s presentation @ JQueryCamp and with the desire to use Markaby if at all possible (I heart camping). I''ve done a little exploration of how to use Markaby in helper code, but any guidance would definitely be appreciated (I definitely do not

"session was cancelled" on large file xfers
I've seen a couple mentions of trouble w/ large files in the list archives, but nothing that seems to resolve this problem... When trying to move or copy largish files (~ >1MB) with WinN using Samba 1.9.18p10 on a Sparc Solaris 2.5 system, things hang for a while and then a dialog box pops up saying "Cannot copy {filename}: The session was cancelled.
