Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
At WXBH-LP we had a similar need, and we solved it using mpd (music player daemon) to coordinate our feed to icecast. mpd is a music player (supporting playlists, etc.) originally designed for local network streaming, but it has several attributes that make it suitable for other things: * Items in its playlists can be local audio files or remote streams (e.g. DJ streams). * It

Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
I have been playing with Icecast only for a couple of days, and I am trying to figure out how to do something. I want a listener to have to only deal with one stream, but I want to be able to switch the source of that stream between multiple sources (DJs). The core idea is that the listener only deals with /live.mp3 while in the background I can problematically switch between a series of live

[Possible bug] Invalid Switching on fallover?
I may have found a bug... I am not sure. I am new to Icecast, so this might be how things are meant to be, I have a Debian install with Icecast2 install from APT - Icecast 2.3.2 I have three mount points (all 128kbp mp3) /EDH.mp3 (public = 0 and hidden = 1) /live.mp3 (fallback-mount = /EDH.mp3 and fallback-override = 1) /dj1.mp3 (fallback-mount = /EDH.mp3, fallback-override = 1, public = 0, and\

Samba and W2K printer issues
I posted this query a couple of days ago and received no responses. SInce that time, some other info has come to light that I thought would be useful to helping to solve this porblem. My network consists of a firewall machine networked with a SuSE 7.2 workstation and a Windows 2000 workstation. My smb.conf file is below: # Samba config file created using SWAT # from 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) # Date:

plotting with an its object
Dear R People: I have an its object. The original its is the Dow Jones Industrial average from March 23, 1990 to March 23, 2000. I did the following; dj1 = original series >dj2 <- log(dj1) >ddj2 <- diff(dj2) > Ok so far. Now I would like to plot this series with a certain y limit: >min(ddj2) [1] -0.07454905 >max(ddj2) [1] 0.04860535 >plot(ddj2,ylim=c(-0.1,0.1)) Error

Sending artist - title - album metadata
Another correspondent here has pointed out that: > Recently Stream Licensing LLC has changed their requirements so that > streaming internet stations in the US must stream the album [name] > along with the song title and artist. We are also in this particular boat. We are using Centova Cast which uses Liquidsoap as its AutoDJ and Centova say that if the album tag is stored in the file

Icecast startup script for Centos 5.5
I went a few directories up and found the 64 bit version. Thanks Keith. much appreciated! I have this working great now, I'm just struggling to find an init script for ices. The ices-cc build you linked installed first time :) On Sun, 13 Feb 2011 22:27:37 +0000, Huw - Junglised <contact at junglised.co.uk> wrote: > Ive just tried running that but I'm getting this

source switching using two servers.
Hello, I'm trying to get some automated stream switching between a handful of sources on a private icecast server to one public icecast server relaying one of the sources depending on the time of day, updated by a script. The private server is for the handful of sources to test their stream, monitor and such. both the private and public icecast config files are fairly straight forward.

Icecast "autodj" and static fallback file problems
Hi. I have icecast2 setup that has multiple mounts, reserved for live streams. They all have common fallback mount to /autodj where Ezstream streams mp3 files. My problem number 1 is that listeners seem to jump into wrong mounts after they have fallen back from their original mount. For example listeners connect to /live1, there is no stream in /live1 so they fallback to /autodj, now /live2

Thanks Keith for the pointers on icecast and ices-cc installation how-to. I followed the instructions and completed the two installations in no time. Once, the two programs are installed on CentOS, what's next. Lend a guiding hand to an eager newbie. And keep those straight guidelines coming, please.
