ices-0.4 on gentoo
Hi, this just means that ices cannot be found in the global system PATH, because you did'nt run configure with option --prefix=/usr/. If you just run configure everything will be installed after a successful mak and make install in prefix /usr/local. Try to start ices like /usr/local/bin/ices -c /usr/local/etc/ices.conf.dist -B Hope this helps Sascha

Hi all there. I am trying to set up an icecast2 server (wich is already running) to send some stream mount point to another server. I mean, my server is streaming at /radio1.mp3 mount point. We can listen it at http://myserver:8000/radio1.mp3; so, i want to know if is there any way to "clone" that strem and send it to another server, such as http://giss.tv:8000/radio1.mp3 Thanks. --

Icecast start up script for icecast
sorry, for the dup email here... my first reply was composed as html... I think you should read 'man chown', it looks to me as though the first command you got from Fu Kite may have been a typo, unless there is something i don't know about putting a '.' between the user and group name in chown. i think what you wanted to do was (notice the colon): $ chown -R sphynx:sphynx

Yes, you have to setup a icecast relay server. That's all. -----Original Message----- From: icecast-bounces at xiph.org [mailto:icecast-bounces at xiph.org] On Behalf Of Facundo Su?rez Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2011 6:44 AM To: icecast at xiph.org Subject: [Icecast] repeater Hi all there. Well, asking to dev-icecast list, James Scoles told me that icecast by itself can't do what i need. So he recomended me to use "liquidsoap" to do the rebroadcast. It is working just fine, because i didn't have time to discover some new thing yet. I wish to share with all of you. Thanks. 2011/4/21 Sascha Bieler <sascha.bieler at radiogong.de>: > As far as I know you

We can not start up icecast
When you get this error message, further details are available in the icecast error log, unless you've disabled error logging. If you've disabled error logging, then re-enable it. Then you'll be able to read the log file. Mike On Wed, Feb 23, 2011 at 8:33 PM, Luis Barrett <getpaid00 at gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > We try the config that you gave us and still we our

Icecast startup script for Centos 5.5
Hi all. me again! I've decided after some good advice from Sascha to go with a CentOS build. I've got icecast installed and running, however I'm having difficulty in finding a script that will start the icecast server on boot. Does anybody have one built, or know where I can find one? Ive kept everything pretty much standard in that the icecast server uses user "icecast"

Icecast startup script for Centos 5.5
Thanks Keith for the pointers on icecast and ices-cc installation how-to. I followed the instructions and completed the two installations in no time. Once, the two programs are installed on CentOS, what's next. Lend a guiding hand to an eager newbie. And keep those straight guidelines coming, please. netlogon problems
Hi @ all, I have two samba-servers running perfectly! Now I configured a third machine which provides some backups. Since I brought it up in the network the windows client won't execute the netlogon-scripts... When I turn off samba-services on the backup-machine it works again. Did I miss something??? Maybe you can open my eyes... Best regards Sascha Here my conf-files: PDC
