Optimizing the loop for large data
Rusers:
I am trying to apply a quadratic discriminant function to find the best
classification outcomes.
1 is assigned to the values greater than a threshold value; and 0 otherwise.
I would like to see how the apparent error rates and the optimal error
rate change with increasing threshold values.
I have a 1000*10 data matrix: n=1000 and p=10.
Here is what I wrote so far, but seems to be

Which Debian version do you use? Because in either version (0 oer 10) in
nsswitch.conf is wirtten "files winbind" in Debian 9 it's "compat
winbind" and in 10 it's "files systemd winbind" so you removed (I think)
systemd maybe you should put it back in

Asterisk BoF: Boston, Sept _2[2-4] - interested?
There was some talk on the IRC channel about getting a
convention/conference together for Asterisk users. While I do not
have the authority (or time) to make such a proposition, I'd like to
see if I can gather some support for a BOF (Birds Of a Feather)
meeting on a somewhat smaller scale and in a shorter timeframe.
The VON (Voice On the Net - http://www.pulver.com/von/) show is in

Fwd: Asterisk BoF: Boston, Sept _2[2-4] - interested?
Hello all -
Second-to-last notice to collect RSVP's for interested parties for
the Asterisk Birds of a Feather dinner/beer meeting. There are five
people signed up for this at the moment. Looks like it's going to be
the 23rd of September, since that fits well with the VON conference
schedule. Please email me directly for details.

I sometimes think that it?s pointless for Americans to talk much about recent events in Gaza because we know how it will play out ? America will do absolutely nothing to interfere with the
ongoing massacre.

[LLVMdev] Please benchmark new x86 vector shuffle lowering, planning to make it the default very soon!
Hi Chandler,
I have tested the new shuffle lowering on a AMD Jaguar cpu (which is
AVX but not AVX2).
On this particular target, there is a delay when output data from an
execution unit is used as input to another execution unit of a
different cluster. For example, There are 6 executions units which are
divided into 3 execution clusters of Float(FPM,FPA), Vector Integer

Xapian 1.2.2 released
I've uploaded Xapian 1.2.2 (including Search::Xapian 1.2.2.0). If you are
wondering what happened to 1.2.1, a couple of portability issues were found
after packaging it but before announcing it, so we decided not to widely
publicise it, and prepare 1.2.2 to fix these. The logs showed at least one
download of 1.2.1 already, hence we didn't just reuse that version.
As usual you can

Magazine's that carry CentOS on the cover mounts
hi,
I've just come to know that this months LFY Magazine has CentOS on the
front covermount ( its been a few months since I spoke to the guys there
and completely lost track of the fact that they were still interested in
doing this ). I dont see any specific place on the wiki where we might
put this sort of info, so I've started a section on the /media/ page. If

It is not an extra step. You have to add --with-sysroot to step 1.

data.table is on CRAN (enhanced data.frame for time series joins and more)
Dear all,
The data.table package was released back in August 2008. This email is to
publicise its existence in response to several suggestions to do so. It
seems I didn't send a general announcement about it at the time and
therefore perhaps, not surprisingly, not many people know about it. Glancing
at some r-help threads recently supports the idea of sending a public
announcement.

[LLVMdev] LLVM-gcc for ARM
hi,
So...
I followed the following steps in order to compile the llvm-gcc frontend. The single problem is that mentioned in the previous message:
llvm-gcc HelloWorld.c
/home/LLVM/install/lib/gcc/arm-elf/4.2.1/../../../../arm-elf/bin/ld: this linker was not configured to use sysroots
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
