If you are however interested in using ogg/vorbis (Theora) look up Theora Streaming Studio in the Theora Cookbook and it will give you some info. Do you know of a streaming server to take as input a mjpeg stream from an ip camera and transcode it to ogg[vorbis] and handle it to icecast? Please don't mention vlc.
