to stereo or not to stereo .. that is the question
hello, a very short while ago there was a brief discussion when to use stereo and when to use mono. as you know, Radio France kept its word and now is webcasting in ogg. In total Radio France (through tv-radio.fr/ycast.com) is webcasting eight different stations, using the ogg format. on http://cuba.calyx.nl/~oink/oggstreams/rfoggstreams.html you can find all the streams with m3u files and

XML parsing error I can't find
Hello, I'm running Debian/Linux and installed the Debian package of Icecast. It's 2.2.0 one. I got a parsing error I can't detect. When launching Icecast : [...] Starting icecast2: Starting icecast2 Detaching from the console I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/etc/icecast2/icecast.xml" FATAL: error parsing config file (/etc/icecast2/icecast.xml) XML config parsing

Server buffer question
Hello, First at all, thanks for the great program, I'm enjoying so much. :) I'm adding ogg stream support to my client for Mac OS X. While it works perfectly with shoutcast and mp3 icecast1, I have buffer problems with icecast2/ogg/vorbis. My client, like iTunes (Apple's client - mp3), doesn't pre-bufferize on the first try. If the connection is fast enough, even a 128KB

help with lmer,
Hi R-users: New to R and I am trying to run a GLM with random effects. I have 3 replicates ('Replicate) of counts of parasites ('nor.tot.lep') before and after an experiment ('In.Out'). When I run lmer I get the error messages (16 of each) below... > lmer(nor.tot.lep ~ In.Out + (In.Out|Replicate),data=coho, family =tweedie(var.power = 1, + link.power = 1)) Generalized

domain admins no longer recognized after reboot?
Ok- very odd behavior here. Our Samba 3.0.0 server was happy as a clam, domain admins were recognized by client systems. We rebooted the server recently- the only real change we've made to it- and now, domain admins aren't recognized. However, I was able to use a user who is supposed to be a domain admin to join a machine to the domain(!) Imagine my surprise when Windows Update

Work on ICECAST : IcecastAdmin, remodularisation, Doc (Docbook), speex ...
Hello, 3 months ago, we (a group of 8 students of the ENSEIRB engineering school (France)) started to work on icecast. We decided to work on another CVS server. The aim _was not to fork a new version_ of Icecast : the idea was to clean the code as fast as possible in order for new developers to enter the sources in an easier way. We mainly worked on format, sources, and tried to clearly

Ice 0.3 cannot connect to Icecast2
I've set up Icecast2 and IceS 0.3 (the version I'm told is better for mp3 streaming, which is what I want to do), but I can't figure out why IceS can't connect to Icecast2. Icecast2 starts with no complaints, and a portscan shows that it has opened the default port I've set it to (8000). However, IceS says it can't connect to it (both Icecast2 and IceS are on the

multicast traffic no longer working after reboot
Hi, today a couple of Hypervisors got restarted due to a power outage. While the systems and the VMs on the are running fine multicast traffic between the guests is no longer working. I generate multicast udp packet using iperf in the guest and check on the host using tcpdump: tcpdump vnet0 => multicast packets are visible tcpdump vlanbr8 => multicast packets are visible tcpdump em1.8

Server not moving clients to fallback
Hi, thanks in advance for any help that can be provided for this head-scratcher. I'm configuring a new server and can't get it to move listen clients to the fallback file when the source client disconnects. I probably have a misconfiguration in icecast.xml. Here is the <mount> section: <mount type="normal">

points() rendering points outside of input
As a followup to pi-day, I attempted to make a .gif of a simulation based estimation of pi by plotting points inside a single quadrant of a circle (a la?http://www.drewconway.com/zia/?p=2667 ). ?When rendering the individual x,y pairs with points() I intermittently see points crop up around (2,0.5) but the input values for x and y are bounded between 0 and 1. square<-structure(c(0, 0, 1, 1, 0,
