Calculating Listeners
Good Afternoon, I would really appreciate information on listener stats. The only way I know of viewing any at all is by accessing the icecast server page, but it has limited information that only seems to be current not archived. How can I keep a running daily tally as well as the duration each listener? Also, what time frame does the listener peak below refer to? Thank you~ Example:

Notation for previous observation in a data frame
I've created a data frame in R, but in order to clean up some of the data, I need to set certain variable observations equal to the value of their previous observation (it would be conditional, but that part's less important right now). In Stata, I would simply set var = var[_n-1] in those cases. What is the R equivalent? [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

processing icecast logs
Do you know some program which process icecast log and make some nice graphs similar to webalizer's. Webalizer for streams
Hello, last night, I worked to make a new version of webalizer for streams. I put some info and example here: http://radio.stalig.com:443/stats/webalizer/index.html If you are interested... It's not finished (yearly stats are not ready), but monthly and daily stats are fine. I'll try to have it integrated to regular webalizer version. Chris --- >8 ---- List archives:

Webalizer displays wrong year
I just run webalizer manually on an Apache log, like I have done many times before. Some new statistics were created, but for "August 2006" instead of "August 2008". I cannot figure why! Because of my mistake, the webalizer statistics for this site have not been updated since February. Now I tried to update them for the first time - with the results I described above. The

Webalizer and GeoIP?
I have a small problem with webalizer. I use it to analyze logs of a small web server hosting a single site, and the only thing I am interested in from webalizer is the piechart diagram it produces about the geographic distribution of people visiting the site. However, the piechart it produces gives me a very crude information, with 50% or so of visitors belonging to "unresolved",

parsing icecast 1 and icecast2 logs in GUI web format
I know this was mentioned some time back, but I am curious if anyone has had any further success with this. My radio station is looking for a nice clean comprehensive overview of all connections to our icecast 1 and 2 servers. Someone had tweaked the webalizer program to render all the stats in a nice GUI format. However, there were still a couple items missing. Just wondering what everyone else

Site statistics
Hey, I was wondering what everyone else does in regards to getting webalizer or other site statistics software to work with mongrel. I currently have a mongrel cluster running behind apache 2.2 with proxy_mod_balancer, but I"m finding that webalizer isn''t too thrilled with that mod. Thanks, Andrew

nls and discontinuous functions
Folks; I have looked for this subject extensively using all the resources I have available and could not find a solution; therefore I am sending you this email seeking for help. I need to solve a discontinuous nonlinear function, but R 2.6 keeps giving me an error. Below is a simple example: f <- function (t,k,l,u) { r0<-346.1 x<-t-l if (x<0) r0 else (r0-u)*exp(-k*x)+u

does IceCast & listeners logging
Hello, I'm working on a project of a commercial webradio. I need to register everytime somebody listens to my radio : when the stream begins, when it ends, the IP. But in the file access.log, there are many GETs from my listeners, before it streams, during, after, and so on. ShoutCast does it as I want but I wanna use IceCast in order to stream Ogg Vorbis ! I feel that the logging module

Webalizer + IceCast2 logfile?
Is it possible? Basically, I want to process the IceCast2 logfile in the same way as I process my Apache server logs? I tried a dry run, and it reported an error with regards to the "date" field - I am currently replacing the date field text "Eastern Standard Time" with the text "-400", to see if that would fix it (that how it is in my Apache logfile). I will

Re: Severe problem with Icecast2 and streamTranscoder
Michael Smith wrote: > This still sounds more likely to be cpu starvation than anything else It seems you were correct. After updating my kernel (!), the CPU load figures given by 'top' and 'ps' for streamTranscoder suddenly rose from 0.0-0.3% to about 30-60%. There are occasional peaks above that, which might very well be causing the problem. And the system load now shows

R 2.9 and XML
After I installed R 2.9.0 my XML package cannot load; I get an error "This application has failed to start because iconv.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem". I already re-installed both but the problem persists. Does anyone know what is going on? I would appreciate any help. Thanks a lot -- ___________________________ Luís Orlindo Tedeschi

size of template file
Hi, How big a template file can be? When I tested with a kind of large file (about 23KB, 570 lines), puppetmasterd ended up with a segmentation fault. Then I made the file shorter than original (about 6KB, 145 lines), the file was created but it is shorter than it should be. What I have is just 3994 bytes and 80 lines. Replacing the string is done correctly. I would like to know the limit of

Antw: Log analysis
Hi Geoff, The streaming version of Webalizer can certainly do this (hmm, I can't seem to find the link anymore, it used to be on a separate website, not awstats.sf.net) and I use it for my clients. See my post from September 2004 regarding correct logging of SOURCE time. http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2004-September/007564.html Cheers, KJ > > Van: Geoff Shang

Icecast logging
Hi Guys, My first post here so hello to all :-)) Anyway, my question: Does anybody know if there is a tool out there that can process the icecast log files and return a graph of listener numbers over a set period? I'd like to be able to know when our most busiest time was. Thanks very much in advance, Andy
