audio sample rates
I have an Icecast server and an Asterisk dialplan containing a call to ICES(/my/ices.xml). So Asterisk launches "ices /my/ices.xml" where /my/ices.xml contains: <input> <module>stdinpcm</module> <param name="rate">8000</param> <param name="channels">1</param> </input> and <encode>

EZStream and Cue Sheets
Looks like a lot of tedium. I'll give it a go on Red Hat, but not before a full backup first. EZStream and Cue Sheets
Looks like it's what I need. Do you know, is there a distro or repo for Fedora? Or should I build it from source? What's best practice for serving multiple formats from a remote icecast server?
We are running an icecast2 server in conjunction with our LPFM radio station and need a little advice. We have been serving a single 128k ogg stream from a remote server and would like to make additional formats available (e.g. mp3, lower bandwidth, etc.) I would think this has been done a few thousand times and there would be a "best practice" but I can't find it. Our basic

Can ices read/stream a remote file rather than a local file?
Would it possible to use ices to send to icecast an audio file that it's not located on the same machine where ices is running, but on another machine? I've checked through the source code of ices, and found out that it uses PERL's read function. Maybe by changing this code I would get my result? What do you suggest? If this is not possible, could ices in some way "upload"

How to use http-put for JavaScript source client
I'm following up on a thread started by Stephen a couple months ago about building a JavaScript source client using webrtc. The first step suggested was to figure out how to mux the audio and video. After I posted a feature request on the webrtc experiment js library, we seem to have a solution: https://github.com/muaz-khan/WebRTC-Experiment/issues/28#issuecomment-20791759 Based on the last

EZStream and Cue Sheets
I could, but I have this big old Fedora system just waiting for me to get LS working on it, so I think I need to concentrate on making that happen. If it's hard, difficult, tedious, inconvenient, then that's what it is. I want the cue sheet capability some way somehow, so I'm just going to have to knuckle down and buckle down and do it. Right? Hi all there. I am trying to set up an icecast2 server (wich is already running) to send some stream mount point to another server. I mean, my server is streaming at /radio1.mp3 mount point. We can listen it at http://myserver:8000/radio1.mp3; so, i want to know if is there any way to "clone" that strem and send it to another server, such as http://giss.tv:8000/radio1.mp3 I have been

EZStream and Cue Sheets
I may have asked this before, but either I didn't, or I've inadvertently discarded the message containing the answer, so pardon please if this is a repeat. Wil EZStream ever support cue sheets--a companion file containing metadata information normally inserted into the stream from that contained in the multimedia file itself? More play-out software is including the ability to produce

ice cast with ladiocast
Hello - I'm a blind individual using ladiocast to broadcast. Here's the problem. it only supports .ogg streaming and AAC streaming. My question is, is there a free service where I can broadcast in .AAC streaming? One thing to note when giving a service, i'm blind using a screen reader and can't get past the capsha spam blocker things. Thanks for any idea you guys might

Icecast source encoder that can handle http streams?
I need to set up an icecast server which will stream out local MP3s sometimes and relay another internet radio station at other times. In order to do this, it seems like the icecast relay support won't help me - there's no way to turn that on and off without changing the icecast config and restarting the server. The only external icecast source app that seems to handle http
