R Tcl/Tk: How to put widgets in text widget?
Dear all, please excuse the somewhat special question: >From within R I create a Tk windows with a list of checkboxes, which can bekome too long for the screen. The obvious solution would be to put all checkboxes into a frame and make that scrollable. Alas, there are (for whatever reason!) no scrollable frames in Tk :-( The usual workaround is to put widgets (my checkboxes) into a textbox,

lld-link /ALIGN option doesn't work for the "execute in place (XIP)"
Hi Rui, We meet a problem when enable the execute in place (XIP, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Execute_in_place) for uefi firmware with lld-link. We need to set the COFF executable file SectionAlignment through the lld-link /ALIGN option, but we find the SectionAlignment is hardcoded to 4096 which cause the /ALIGN option doesn't work at all. Below is the hardcode in lld: lld\COFF\Writer.h

In Berlin this week? Kamailio/Asterisk community dinner on Thursday
Friends, Daniel and I are running a Kamailio SIP Masterclass this week in Berlin. When travelling around like this, we often invite the community to come and meet us in a nice restaurant. We offer good company and fun discussions about Kamailio, SIP-router.org and Asterisk - but the drinks and food are on you. At least yours :-) Berlin is the city where Sip Express Router was born. libvorbis 1.2.1 release?
HI all, Was libvorbis 1.2.1 ever released? I remember a pre-release but I don't remember seeing a real release. The Xip.org download page still points to 1.2.0. Cheers, Erik -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Erik de Castro Lopo ----------------------------------------------------------------- "If Java had true garbage collection, most programs would

Zeroing freed blocks
A couple of years ago there was a discussion on lkml under the thread 'PATCH - ext2fs privacy (i.e. secure deletion) patch' about zapping deleted data in the filesystem as a security mechanism. The discussion wandered off into how 'chattr +s' could be implemented and whether encrypting filesystems wouldn't be a better solution to the problem. I've been maintaining a

opus Digest, Vol 109, Issue 8
We have found that it is possible to achieve a 30 to 50% reduction in MHz requirement for implementation of OPUS on Cortex M4 compared to the public version (v1.3 beta/v1.2.1). For the CELT configuration you mention (complexity 0, 16kHz, mono, 20ms) we are measuring a 4ms encode time and a 3ms decode time for that platform (32kbit/s). An important issue that I haven't seen much discussion

Help: issues about hostname & nameserver
Dear developers: I'm using Samba-3.5.8 on Linux (Gentoo, amd64) as a file server, and using some Windows based OSes as clinet. And something strange happened to me. Things went as follows: 1. If there was no dot (".") in the hostname of server, then no matter whether the DNS server (in /etc/resolv.conf) was set correctly or not, everything went fine. Client can access shares

voipbuster advise
Hi, I'm using voipbuster at work, and I've got 2 questions: 1) Is it possible to send faxes using voipbuster connex? 2) Is it possible to cut off or cover the voice that say the charge per minute?(I've payed the '5' euro, and from that moment I've got it!). Of course I understand that is to let me know how much I'm going to spend, but I do not like it, expecially when

Question about hardware
IF I wanted to do the whole "sophisticated telephony VoIP stuff" asterisk, what hardware would I need? I have a feeling that my fax modem is probably not going to work out. My wife and I have an income of $650 a month. After the first-of-the-month bills are payed, we're lucky if we have $100 left for food and gasoline. I need a solution that's as economical as possible. Error in randomForest.default(m, y, ...) : negative lengt h vectors are not allowed
Christian -- You don't provide enough information (like a call) to answer this. I suspect, though, that you may be subsetting in a way that passes randomForest no data. I'm not aware offhand of an easy way to get this error from randomForest. I tried creating some data superficially similar to yours to see whether something would break if there were only a single value in the variable

State of the gluster project
Well, After IBM acquisition, RH discontinued their support in?many projects including?GlusterFS (certification exams were removed, payed product went EOL, etc). The only way to get it back on track is with a sponsor company that haves the capability to drive it.Kadalu is relying on GlusterFS but they are not as big as Red Hat and based on one of the previous e-mails they will need sponsorship to

Xapian 1.3.5 snapshot performance and index size
Hi, I ran some tests with Recoll to compare Xapian 1.2.22 and 1.3.5 performance. I mostly used two relatively small document sets (realistic/typical recoll data subsets). The first set is a 2.2 GB mbox folder, with approximately 56K messages in 275 files, producing approximately 64K documents (because of attachments). The second set is a 11 GB folder with 5300 PDF files in it (random PDFS
