Wireless Mic System

Their first generation (not G2) were problematic in not being very durable. I don't have as much experience with the G2, but the few we have sold have worked fine for several years. using ezstream with stdin
I'm having a hard time not getting mp3 data to ezstream via stdin fast enough. The vb.net application I'm writing, ezstream and icecast are all running on the same machine (Widows XP). Some where in the process, a buffer empties out and that results in a drop out when you are listening. Usually the dropout happens at a song change. At first I was chunking up the data according to bit

Time for log entries
I'm running Icecast 2.3.1 on a Windows 2000 platform with Simplecast feeding a live stream with multiple mount points. At scheduled points in the day, I have a scheduler that launches EZstream that overrides one of the mountpoints for a local 1 hour insert. Since we went back to standard time last weekend, the log entries in error.log have shown that the EZstream overrides have occurred

playlist streaming
is it true it's not possible to start or stop indvidual streams using icecast2+icegenerator(liveice,ezstream) combination? i've tried mp3 directory streaming as well as playlist streaming - it works, but with no possibility to see full mp3 file listing and play control (like choosing a song, starting, stopping play). Icecast can't even diferentiate /dev/dsp input from playlist input.

overlaying prerecorded content over a live stream...
Hello everyone! I've been looking into using icecast to help get some terrestrial radio stations into Internet broadcasting. One of their requirements is that they have the ability to overlay internet-only content over the regional commercials that they run during their programming - ie, during breaks between their normal programming, they don't want ads from their advertisers

Newbie question ... fallback mounts
David, You email is confusing. The problem is that we've done everything we can do get listed on Icecast Directory but we never get listed. help? This is our config file (below). The IceCast documentation only said to add the <directory> section which adds the yp url to the icecast server. So far as I'm aware from the documentation, anything after that should come from the

schedule a fallback and / 2 sources streaming at 1 server ???
Hi everyone. I was wondering if it is possible to schedule a fallback. I know there is the option when no source is streaming then icecast server falls back to another mount point. So my question is if it is possible to schedule some sort of fallback to another mount point whenever i want to. Let me give you an example: source 1 is streaming to server from 16:00 until 16:59 at mount point 1.

Long URLs - New to Mongrel
My rails web app (rails 1.2.1) uploads an image from a Java applet by encoding it into the URL. This works fine when I''m using Webrick. I''m trying out Mongrel today, and I''m getting an error in Safari that says ?lost network connection? (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005). I get something similar in Firefox. Is there a way to make Mongrel accept a really long URL like

[Icecast-dev] metadata fallback mounts
> So when you're listening before the fallback, it's not anywhere near this > far behind? Just tested it all so here's what is happening. Stream is up and all is well. Then I take the stream down and after about 14 seconds the fallback starts, that's great and exactly what I want. However, I start the stream again and have to wait about 5 minutes for the fallback to

bit error robustness
Hello everyone, I'm evaluating the Celt in terms of robustness against bit errors. So what I have done is encoding a wav file using the \tools\celtenc.exe and then manipulated the wav file according a desired bit error rate or burst error length. But the Celt decoder stops decoding with the first bit I manipulated even if this bit is not in the header. So is there a way to do the test

OT: good headphones?
This is off-topic, mostly, but I figure you guys will have some knowledge in this sound-quality-related area. I'm sitting here looking at the most recent "Musician's Friend" at headphones and thinking about getting a pair. They've got products from AKG, Fostex, Audio Technica, Nady, Sennheiser, and Sony, at price points ranging from $16 to $130 (list prices $20 to

Headsets
Hey Everyone, We are in the process of reviewing headsets for use with our GXP-2000s. I'm looking for some feedback as to which headsets people are using, the pros and cons of those headsets, and if they would recommend them to someone else. Any help would be appreciated... - Jason -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Access.log
I'm using Simplecast to feed 8 mount points of a 24/7 live stream to Icecast on a win platform. When I have the Statistics Relays graphing activated, I get an entry each minute in Access.log for each of the mount points. That particular entry is pretty much useless but of course, being able to see the IP address of client drops can be useful. This log grows to mammoth proportions unless I
