Icecast2 Relays/Mounts - Adding without Restarting Server
Is it at all possible to add Icecast2 Relays or Mounts without having to restart the server, and thus drop all the other existing connections in the process? Thanks. -g. __________________________________________________________________________ Greg J. Ogonowski VP Product Development ORBAN / CRL, Inc. FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for WMP Supports Icecast2
Ok, I read the Read Me. So icyx://boa.mediacast1.com:9292/stream.aac works. I don't understand why the http syntax cannot be made to work. This works fine for Ogg Vorbis streams using the Illumination DirectShow filter. FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for WMP Supports Icecast2
A FREE AAC/aacPlus Plugin for Microsoft Windows Media Player that fully supports the Icecast2 Server is available for download here: http://www.orban.com/plugin FYI: This plugin supports .asx for Windows Media Player NOT .pls or .m3u. Also streams can be opened directly by using newly created UIL redirectors, e.g., icyx:// instead of http:// and rtpx:// instead of rtsp://. This is all covered

iPhone patches question
When the Tuner2 iPhone Player hits the Apple iTunes Apps Store, this should solve everyone's player problem: http://www.indexcom.com/iphone.html There is a lot of information on this page. It tells an interesting story about audio quality. This player is not an Orban project. -greg. ORBAN At 18:16 2009-03-16, oddsock wrote: >As of right now, you are out of luck in terms of instream

Icecast2 Server - AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus Support
Hello- You guys have done an excellent job with the Icecast2 server. I probably don't need to tell you that, but I did anyway. We are Coding Technologies licensees and have recently developed a streaming audio encoder supporting AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus using RTSP/RTP, SHOUTcast HTTP/ICY, and Icecast2 HTTP/ICY, Orban Opticodec-PC. More information here:

Icecast2 Player Protocol
Mike- There are some differences in the way the metadata is handled between SHOUTcast and Icecast2. This, I believe is the primary reason why player developers get SHOUTcast streams to play but not necessarily Icecast2. VLC and BetaPlayer are perfect examples of this. I have been doing some testing with BetaPlayer on a Verizon Wirelss CE device, and unfortunately Icecast2 streams

dir.xiph.org only listing Ogg streams
Anyone wanting their AAC/HE-AAC/aacPlus stream(s) listed on Tuner2, please send request(s) with relevant information to me directly. This is free and does not require an Orban Opticodec-PC Encoder. This will also help lighten the load for Xiph. -greg. ORBAN. At 01:45 2006-06-19, Michael Smith wrote: >On 6/19/06, paranoid <paranoid@dds.nl> wrote: > >>To me, that would not be

Icecast2 Burst-on-Connect - More
I am trying to determine exactly what the difference in Burst-on-Connect is between SHOUTcast and Icecast2. There are a number of players that are having difficulty with the Icecast2 Burst-on-Connect feature. To determine where the problem might be, I tried to lower the burst-size to 32768, but doing so will not allow sources to connect to the Icecast2 server. Anyone know what accepted

Icecast2 Burst-on-Connect
Can anyone explain what the fundamental difference between the Burst-on-Connect mode that Icecast2 uses versus SHOUTcast? There is a thread starting on the VLC Player list that is stating that the problems that VLC has playing Icecast2 Burst-on-Connect (default) streams is the fault of Icecast2. I don't believe this is true, as Winamp has no problem with Icecast2 streams. I'm hoping

Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
I believe that Oddsock is using a Content Type of aacp. Using a .aac extension with this Content Type may present a conflict. This might actually be by design. I will do some further testing with Winamp and report here tomorrow. I will also double-check with the developer of Winamp for complete clarification. FYI, Orban Opticodec-PC allows the use of either Content Type of aac or aacp. aac is

Hi, Thanks, that helps. What I really want however, is an MP3 stream that can play on a WI-FI mp3 player. I know the m3u streams, but they wont play. I can find the stream for the regular KING HD-1, but not for opera or evergreen.
