Re: [Icecast-dev] Re: How to obtain a stream
(replying only to user list) After doing a bit of research, I'm going to assume you're using Windows since Raduga only runs on Windows. For the benefit of everybody else, a bit of googling revealed that Raduga is a commercial radio automation package that runs under Windows using DirectX. I'm glad to see that it has Ogg support (presumably Vorbis). It doesn't appear to

Winamp/Oddcast Silent output
Hi everybody, I have an easy question here. Is there any silent output option for Winamp/Oddcast? I have a computer that I use as an encoder but it has no soundcard installed so I am using SAM2 because there is a "Silent output" option in the audio mixer pipeline. It means the sound encoded never passes through the soundcard because everything is managed by the software. I prefer free

Icecast + oddcast + voice
Hi: If you can record your mic but it's not working in XMMS, this suggests an issue on the XMMS side. Are you invoking the XMMS Recorder plugin as detailed in the Readme? No sound (ices-2.0.0, RH9)
Hello, I've successfully installed Icecast 2.0.0 and Ices 2.0.0 on a Compaq EvoN600C running Redhat 9. Everything runs quite well (no error loggued by Icecast or Ices), the Ices stream is seen as a source by Icecast and friends are able to listen to my radio (I see them as listeners in Icecast admin)... the problem is that they ear only silence ! Looks like the streaming is OK but Ices could

darkice client for windows
oddcast DSP is what you want, it supports live input (called Advanced Recording) and does support streaming to Peercast...It currently does not support Vorbis metadata for live recording (since metadata for vorbis streaming is inserted into the ogg stream, as opposed to how it's done for mp3 in which the metadata is updated on the server via URL calls)... anyway, it's the closest thing to

Radio Station
List, Time and time again I am sure you get this question. I am trying to setup a radiostation, and here is what I am looking for: 1. Ability for people to "call in" with say, winamp+oddcast or simplecast. 2. Ability to change password for the caller at any time. I know by default that Icecast2 does not allow the sharing of mounts, so what about setting up the following: 1. /radio

darkice question
Hello, Can darkice take it's input from a playlist or must it have a sound card? If the latter i am looking for a streamer that goes with icecast2, can handle both mp3 and ogg, can take input from either a playlist or a sound card, and can do on-the-fly encoding. From what i've read i don't believe ices-02 does this. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Dave. --- >8 ---- List

Using stdin with ezstream
Sorry to bother you guys but I couldn't find the answer to my problem anywhere else. I've installed ezstream_win32_0.1.1_setup.exe to my Windows XP box and I am trying to use the stdin streaming functionality w/ IceCast v2.2. ezstream works well when I set the filename to a file, however, it does not work with stdin. With filename=stdin the source_client_connections stat in IceCast is

you can run multiple instances of the standlone version of oddcastV3 by just installing it multiple times into different directories... all config files are kept locally. oddsock At 09:05 AM 2/9/2006, Geoff Shang wrote: >Hi, > >hmmm. announcement
Hi: Just to add that most, if not all, that ices does can already be done using other Windows tools. You can stream a playlist unencoded with Ezstream. You can stream raw soundcard input with streamTranscoder. And you can do all that and more with the various Oddcast plugins. xmms and icecast2
hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. At the moment I am finishing off a project that is more or less a stream management system, kind of like a web jukebox with a time-based scheduling facility and several other 'radio-like' features... I am using xmms-shell to control the replay of ogg files. I also use noxmms to kill the gui of xmms so I can run the application from a remote
