Windows guest and virtio serial port
Okay, I've updated virtio serial drivers to latest ones. This did not help. Afterwards I've enabled "Show hidden devices" in Device manager of a guest os.In the "Other devices" section I can see two virtio serial ports with question marks (i did configure guest with 2 virtio channels). Is this a normal behaviour? Screenshot:

if_indextoname on Windows?
Hi all, Windows Vista Home Premium VC++ 9 According to MSDN, the if_indextoname() function should be included on Vista: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb408408%28VS.85%29.aspx However, I can''t get mkmf to see it. I tried all of these: require ''mkmf'' if have_header(''netioapi.h'') # yes have_func(''if_indextoname'',

live video windows
Hi, Does Icecast2.3 handle wmv (windows media video) format streams? I need to set up a live streaming service. It is important that no additional software should be installed on client side, so either need a flash player (or java based player if we have nothing else) or a format that can be played with the default Windows Media Player. If it supports such things what software can I use to

Two sources on one PC
you can run multiple instances of the standlone version of oddcastV3 by just installing it multiple times into different directories... all config files are kept locally. oddsock At 09:05 AM 2/9/2006, Geoff Shang wrote: >Hi, > >hmmm. Is winsock2 built in wine? There is no choice inside winecfg to override it. How to use native winsock2? regards,

[PATCH] Compilation of tftp-hpa's Git HEAD with no IPv6, and misc
This patch does two things: a) makes tftp-hpa to compile on systems with no IPv6 support (there were some IPv6 macros used unconditionally); b) removes a stray binary character, which was annoying. By the way, I see that 'configure' tests for <winsock.h> and <winsock2.h>, but Winsock isn't actually used. What's the reason? diff --git a/config.h b/config.h index

winelib
Hello, My version of wine is wine-20010510-1. Do I need to make any changes to the wine headers? I get errors from winsock.h and winsock2.h often. Then I try fixing it in the file, since it seems easy but then it causes problems elsewhere. E.g., /usr/include/wine/winsock2.h:92: field 'Address' has incomplete type I noticed winsock 2 has a FIXME: Still missing required Winsock 2

oplock_break failed
Hi, I am running Samba 2.0.3 on Linux Kernel 2.2.5 (SuSE 6.1) in a test environment with a Win NT server (PDC), the Linux box taking over step by step the file- and printserver tasks, and Win 95 clients. Samba is setup with security=domain at this stage. It just happened again what I have seen only a few times before. When I use Outlook 98 on the Win95 machine and want to access the

Hardware-based Icecast source client
I would assume only Ices1, if any - their product page says MP3/PCM support. Windows source client problems
I'm having trouble with sourcing from a live mic from a Windows machine. I've used oddsock and ezstream, and both stream MP3 files to my icecast2 server with no problem. I've checked and re-checked that my Windows recording device is the microphone input (Volume control settings/Properties/Recording/Microphone is selected as the recording device). using Icecast source client as PulseAudio source
There are many Icecast source clients[1] available now. The Coolmic[2] app is particularly interesting because it can turn a Android phone (e.g. SmartLav+ lapel mic[3]) into a wearable mic for presenters. Not everybody is keen to run Icecast though, some people may want to mix-and-match the Icecast source clients like that with some other broadcasting platform, Jitsi Meet[4], Zoom or whatever.

Hardware-based Icecast source client
Hi all, I'm in the midst of creating a turnkey Icecast source client embedded in a plug computer, using Ices2. I've hacked together some scripts to automate the starting and stopping of a live stream (launched by pressing buttons on the device). It's dead easy once the network/server is configured - you just plug it in, push a button and you're live. It accepts any Debian

Yes the barix extreamers work fine with icecast. I used to use them as studio to transmitter links for a radio station. Preprocessor denoise. Does it work?
I'm having trouble with the preprocessor's noise reduction feature. The basic issue is that it simply doesn't work very well. With my laptop (whose microphone is otherwise quite capable) I routinely hear transient background noise, typing, and other "quiet" sounds leaking through to the speex stream. Even worse, the AGC feature is blowing these things up into just awful

package compilation: including external libraries in windows compilation
Dear R package developers: I need help on getting a package compiled for windows. I am trying to use definitions and routines from a set of libraries in that are in LINUX under #include <netdb.h> #include <sys/socket.h> #include <netinet/in.h> #include <arpa/inet.h> but these are unavailable in windows. I found that we can get these by including, in windows these
